i wonder if you ever see me in the sky
in the pink and orange clouds
that float during the sunsets
we used to watch together
or maybe in the moonlight
that illuminated our smiles
as we laughed and talked about
who we would become together
maybe you see me in the breeze
that rustles your hair and reminds
you of those warm summer days
we spent in our imagination
i hope you see me somewhere
if it's in your morning coffee
or a book that makes you cry
or in whoever takes my place
i don't wish to haunt you
like a mournful ghost
but I do wish to stay with you
like you stay with me
and I see a piece of you everywhere.
