"It appears there is only one bed."His exhaustion no longer an issue, Chongyun sits up quickly and peers around their room to find that in fact, yes, there is only one bed.
"Why'd you book a room with only one bed?" He asks in a panic.
"I didn't do it purposefully. Besides, even if we wanted to change rooms, I'm afraid they're all booked. We got the last one." Xingqiu shrugged, taking out his earring and running his hands through his uneven hair.
"So we're just going to sleep in the same bed? For the rest of our trip?" Chongyun asked, exasperated. He felt as though this was a much bigger deal than Xingqiu was nonchalantly letting on.
"Well, yeah. I don't think either of us wants to sleep on the floor. We sleep close to each other all the time, Chongyun. What's the matter?" Xingqiu asked once he was down to suitable clothing to sleep in. He took a seat next to Chongyun on the bed and placed his hand over the other's, a small gesture Chongyun tried to ignore.
"I... I don't want to overheat. Last time we were outside, but right now we're inside, and-" He took a moment to calm himself, heavily breathing in and out as Xingqiu tightened his grip on his hand.
"We don't have to keep the blanket, Chongyun. That way it won't make you too hot. Would that help?" Xingqiu offered, whispering his ideas to the other boy.
"And if it's really an issue, I suppose I could put up with the floor for a few nights."
The light haired boy focused on the avid reader's soft voice, letting it calm him calm down.
"No, you don't have to do that. But, are you sure you won't be too cold without a blanket? I don't want to make you uncomfortable in temperature..." Chongyun replied.
"I won't be too cold, my liege. Promise." Xingqiu smiled, meeting the other's worried gaze.
"Now then, how about you go get into comfortable sleeping attire, and I'll tidy up our living quarters, yes?"
Chongyun nodded and took his bag to the bathroom while Xingqiu moved the blanket off the bed and folded it up.
"He's so... thoughtful." Chongyun thinks to himself as he takes his shoes off.
Being willing to accommodate to his needs even at the risk of his own discomfort... he's got it bad, huh?
Chongyun smiles to himself as he takes his clothes and tucks them back into his bag before opening the door and taking his place on one side of the bed before Xingqiu comes to take the other.
"Are you sure you're not uncomfortable?" Chongyun asks.
"Archons, Chongyun, I told you I feel perfectly fine! Now let's get some rest. We've got a big day ahead of us tomorrow."
The hydro user leaned over to shut the lamp off before resting against his pillow, his free hand extended in the little space between them.
"Does he... remember that?" Chongyun flushes in color, remembering his action form the previous night.
Nonetheless, he places his hand in the other's, an uncontrollable grin upon Xingqiu's face in the dark that he can't see.
"Good night, Yun."
"Good night... Qiu."

The next day, it's back to DragonSpine. As they ascend the freezing mountain of frost, Chongyun's gives his jacket to Xingqiu once again as the other begins to show signs that's he's cold.
