"Welcome to the hat stall list, Miss Sarantos." Had been McGonagall's words to Olympia the moment her sorting ended, when Slytherin still celebrated in glee.

A Sarantos in the House of Snakes? It was royalty to them.

The rest of the night had gone by smoothly, Olympia's friends had greeted her with open arms, embracing her before tucking into dinner, where she met her new housemates that so far, seemed quite polite and likeable. She too met the Bloody Baron, who she found to be extremely unpleasant to stare at.

In addition, Daphne and Pansy informed her how the latter's parents had managed to rearrange the sleeping patterns and landed Olympia in their room, along with two other girls; Millicent Bulstrode and Tracey Davis. "I told father about your return and how there were already five people in our dorm, and he spoke with Snape. Old friends the both of them, that's why he did him the favor of squeezing you with us." Pansy had said, to which Olympia nodded gratefully.

Mindless conversation had been pursued throughout dinner, and it was only after Dumbledore informed everyone that Quidditch would not be taking place, that a wave of protest could be heard. Apparently, the Triwizard Tournament, an event that had been banned for years, was going to be taking place starting October upon the arrival of the other participant schools.

And to top it all off, there had been an abrupt disruption when the doors of the Great Hall banged open, leaving room for everyone to stare at the newest Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor; Mad-eye Moody. Dressed in a black traveling cloak and carrying a face that had been scared for the rest of his life.

"Is that Mad-Eye Moody? The Auror?" Astoria broke the silence, her voice slightly far, seeing as she had been sitting with her year a couple of seats away from them.

"You know the cripple?" Draco motioned to Moody's wooden leg with distaste.

The youngest Greengrass tuts at him, reprimanding his insensitive comment with a pointed look. "You don't?" She finally said. "The man is a legend, one, if not the best auror to ever exist."

And finally, when everyone had settled down, Olympia found herself in her Common Room, dark, cold and luxurious. Where she admired the hand-knitted, multi-colored blankets that appeared to be scattered around for anyone to shield themselves from the cold.

It had been a good start, Olympia thought as she laid in bed. Ready for tomorrow as her first official day at Hogwarts.

She takes it back. The sun is up and Olympia wants to take it back, not only is Slytherin freezing, but she finds herself groaning when two lumps fall on top of her, squeezing the air out of her lungs. The smell of lavender shampoo makes her realize that Pansy sits on her right, while Daphne and her Hyacinths perfume, wait on her left.

"You know, one would think that you would be a morning person by now." Pansy says. "But no, instead, you are here, sleeping the day away." Olympia doesn't answer, but at the sight of her limp form and the clock ticking, Pansy pulls the covers from her, making the Greek descendant hiss at her. "Look at that! Add fangs and poison and one might mistake you for Salazar's basilisk!"

Daphne snorts at the comment, raising her arms in surrender when Olympia glares at her, but seeing as she can't hold her laughter, the former only pushes her out of bed, making her land with a loud thud. "Ow! That hurt!"

"Good, I aimed for it." Olympia flips her off.

Daphne sticks out her tone, a hand rubbing her sore body before pushing Olympia into the shower. Once all three of them have changed, they make their way into the Great Hall, where their friends already await. A few 'Good mornings' are shared before everyone starts to eat breakfast. But their quiet morning gets interrupted by a hooked nose, greasy black haired man, who hands out timetables. He introduces himself as 'Professor Snape' with boredom in his tone, and distaste in his eyes that have landed on Olympia. The action makes her frown, but he leaves before she gets the chance to ask. Instead, she chooses to focus on the class schedule within her grasp.
