Sana took out the thermometer from Aadhya's little armpit and checked the temperature. It was normal.

Flashback:

"Maa, how is my baby bhaiyya now?", Asks little Sana.

"He is fine Sana. His fever is gone. Come here.", Calls Sunaina.

Sana walks close to her and she turns her around and starts combing her long hair.

"Maa, will papa come home today? I miss him so much.", Cried little Sana as her mother tied her plaits.

"Hmmm.. I don't know beta.", Her mother sighs lost in her thoughts. It had been 3 months since she gave birth to Karan but Dilip hadn't come to visit them once.

His employee quietly got money and gave it to her since last two months. He wouldn't say anything about his boss even after asking. Sunaina wasn't aware of where he worked or where his house was. She missed him a lot but more than her, it was Sana who missed him. Her day started with asking about him and ended with crying in disappointment. She had no memory of her real father, Asim but only of Dilip who played with her and cared for like his own daughter.

Sunaina drops Sana at the government school and comes back home. She gives bath to little Karan and nurses him. There was a knock at the door and she attends to it.

There stood a lady at the doorstep who was dressed in expensive saree and held a handbag. Behind her was Dilip's employee who always got money in his absence.

"Yes?", Sunaina asks.

"I am Mala, Dilip's wife.", Says the lady.

Sunaina was stunned at the same time feels an ache to see her.

"Please come inside.", Says Sunaina pointing her hand towards inside.

Mala walks inside and occupies the chair and looks around the house. Sunaina puts her head down feeling mortified.

"I'll get some water and tea for you.", Says Sunaina.

"Not required. See, I came to know that Dilip has kept you here. He is a nice person that doesn't mean you start taking advantage of his goodness. I know, I can't bear a child hence he shows a great interest in you but I am his legally wedded wife and only I have all the rights over him. Dilip is no more in this world. He passed away due to pneumonia last month.", She says with choking voice.

Sunaina was shocked. Her heart broke into thousands of pieces and she fell thud on the ground. Mala looks at her. Little Karan starts crying in the room. Before Sunaina manages to collect herself to go and attend the baby, Mala stands up on her feet and goes towards the direction from which she heard the crying sound. Sunaina follows her. Mala was taken aback to see a gorgeous baby lying on the bed. Sunaina picks up the baby and pats gently.

"Is this baby Dilip's?", Mala asks gulping her saliva.

Sunaina looks down at the floor without answering.

"Answer me!! Is this Dilip's baby?", Mala yells startling both Sunaina and the baby. Sunaina nods in positive.

Mala's eyes wide open in shock and she took a step back only to be hit by a wall at the back. Tear drops fall from her eyes.

"How old is he?", Asks Mala.

"3 months old", says Sunaina in a low tone. Mala looks at her in shock.
