Third POV
Three days have passed since the monstrous storm that separated Sanji and Jade. Alone and adrift in a barrel somewhere within the East Blue, hope seems to be fading from Jade's eyes. Little does Jade know, her luck's about to turn around.
As Jade was lost in thought, she felt something knock against the side of the barrel. She fears that it could be a sea king investigating the barrel. Jade hears a mysterious, manly voice yell "Captain we've found a barrel!". A second voice was heard by Jade soon after. "It could be supplies and we are running low. Alright Yassop, raise the barrel aboard the ship."
Jade POV
I can see the lid of the barrel start to open. Sunlight pours in, blinding me for a moment before my vision adjusts to the bright, midday sun. Squinting my eyes as the lid is lifted off, I can see a dark figure looming over the barrel. I cannot make out much of their appearance, but the gleam of the sun reveals a head of red shiny hair. The man spoke, "Looks like we have a little stow-away." He chuckled lightly and in a joking tone he asked "Are you gonna come out of there any time soon?". The man seems easy going and I don't have the feeling of danger one gets in the pit of their stomach, so I start to crawl out of the barrel. I look up only to see a black flag adorned with a skull and crossed swords. This was no ordinary skull as it has a large scar across its face in blood red paint. I instantly knew that this was the Red-Haired pirate's ship. I turn around to look at the man with red hair, noticing a scar across his left eye. " You wouldn't happen to be the infamous red-haired Shanks, would you?" I ask. He smiles warmly at me as he kneels to my height, his left arm crossing over his left knee. " Of course I am, but you shouldn't believe all the rumours you hear about me. I'm much more of a fun guy than they make me out to be." He chuckled. My stomach growls very loudly. " Is there any food around here? I'm starving! " I groan, not really caring that I'm surrounded by pirates. The whole crew laughs at me and Shanks says to a crew member " Lucky Roux, why don't we make a meal for the stow-away? ". Lucky grins towards Shanks before heading towards the kitchen. " I'm on it boss." While chewing on a big leg of ham. Shanks then turns to me, smiling warmly " So you wouldn't happen to have a name, would you? " He asked jokingly. "I'm surprised you haven't heard of me, I'm an infamous kitchen hand. I'm Jade." I smirk playfully. The whole crew starts to laugh again. " She's a funny one boss, she'd fit in here nicely." Yassop said. Shanks replies back to me " I think you might be right Yassop, how would you like to join my pirate crew?". Shanks looks deep into my eyes awaiting my answer. "Well I've got nothing else better to do.......Yes I will join your crew."
