"Sam!" I screamed as he stood there in shock. "Help me!" I pleaded.

I looked down to Dean who lay on the ground in front of me, closing his eyes and wincing in pain. Every movement he made hurt him.

"Stay with me, Dean. Dear God, stay with me," I cried, locking eyes with him, afraid to look down at the gash that was spilling blood out of his body.

"Hey, hey, look at me. It's fine. I'll be fine." Dean whimpered. "I've had worse than this." He slipped his hand into mine as more tears spilled out of my eyes

"Dee, we have to get him to the hospital." Sam urged me to get moving. I nodded and stood up with shaky legs. I hadn't seen him hurt before and I could tell he was in a lot more pain than he would let show. The fact that I was covered in his blood didn't help either. Sam walked over to him and took off his overshirt to cover the wound.

"I have to pick you up, ok Dean?" Sam asked.

"As I'll ever be." He said sarcastically as Sam reached under him and lifted him off the ground.

"Son of a bitch!" He yelled. "Dee, go grab the other girl," He said as Sam began to walk towards the car. I stood there for a split second. "What other girl?" I asked to myself before remember the state in which we had Seth; with the flesh from the girl's arm in his mouth. I ran over to where she was laying on the ground, half unconscious.

"Don't worry, I've got you. We'll get you to the hospital." I tried to speak as calmly as I could for someone in that situation.

We reached the car and I sat the girl in the front seat. I nodded to Sam as he laid Dean down in the back.

"The hospital is about ten minutes away. It shouldn't take us even that long to get there." He said as he stepped on the gas, after I barely got into the back with Dean. He set his head on my lap.

"I'll be ok babe, I promise," He slurred before he drifted off.

"Step on it Sam," I pleaded with tears in my eyes.

He was right, it didn't take us long to reach the hospital. The girl got out of the car just fine and I ran in after her to get her checked in. Sam was close behind me with Dean in his arms.

"Must have been a big animal to get two of you," the nurse said, rushing to more nurses to help with Dean. Sam and I nodded.

"Did you at least kill it?" She asked with fear in her eyes for her community.

"Yes, he did." I looked back at Dean.

"We're ready to take him back. He's lost a lot of blood but he should make it." The doctor spoke to us to reassure us. We both gave a slight smile.

"He's a hero, just remember that. He saved so many people, now it's our time to save him," He said right before the machines that they had just hooked Dean up to started making a loud and long beeping noise. The ones you hear in the movies right before something bad happens.

"We're losing him! He's lost more blood than we thought!" Another nurse yelled from the room.

"Excuse me," The doctor said before running into room. Sam and I followed close behind him. Fear shot through me with the thought that Dean might actually make it. Sam grabbed my and held me back before I tried to get into the room.

"Dee, he'll be ok. He has to be ok." He spoke to me, half reassuring himself.
It felt like hours had passed. Police and civilians had come and gone, thanking us for killing the monster that had terrorized their homes and lives. If only they had known that we had just taken the life of one of their own. Not only that, but a child.
