Loki

I woke up bright and early, Iris agreed to see me this morning. I got her a necklace after saying goodnight last night.  A beautiful emerald green, I just know it will bring out her beautiful blue eyes. Where I got the necklace is no ones concern. I got dressed and ready and teleported to her room. I saw her as she slept, she looks so peaceful, and happy. She began to stir, waking up. I thought maybe waiting outside her room would be a better idea. I

I waited outside of her room for a few minutes before knocking, and just as I finished knocking, she opened the door.

Iris

I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and excited for the day. I stretched and got out of bed. I heard a knock on my door and I went to open it.

Loki. I wasn't surprised to see him, I just didn't think it would have been right when I woke up.

"Good morning, Iris." He said smiling. "May I come in?" He asked. I could get dressed in my closet so why not. "Yes, I just have to get dressed." I opened the door for him to come in.

He took a seat in the chair across the room. "I mean, you don't have to get dressed in the bathroom." Loki stated. I lightly glared at him. "I'm getting dressed in the bathroom." He threw his hands up. "Okay, okay." I grabbed my clothes and changed in the bathroom. Today, I'm wearing a black dress with flowers detailed all over, with short sleeves. I brushed my hair and walked out of the bathroom. "Ready for breakfast?" I asked. Loki smiled at me, I think I'm starting to get used to that. "Yes, I am." He held his arm out to which I grabbed in response and we were off to have breakfast.

---

Once we arrived at the dining hall, I could see what smelled so good before we came. Before me I see blueberry muffins, pancakes, a large array of fruit, croissants, bacon. I could go on but I simply wouldn't have the time. I find myself getting a pancake, topping it with strawberries, bananas, and blueberries. Loki and I sat down, and I began to eat my pancakes, I'm hungry.

Loki has a muffin. Just a muffin. "How'd you sleep, Iris?" He asked, taking a bite. "I actually slept well, that's not something that happens often." I cut into my pancake. "How'd you sleep?" I asked back. He shrugged. "I never really have a good sleep. But when I do, I sleep for a very long time." He chuckled finishing his muffin. I nodded, finishing my pancake and fruit.

"What do you wanna do today?" I asked, hoping to learn more about the palace. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a box. "I got this for you last night, I hope you like it. Then we can maybe just walk around the palace?" I smiled, nodding, and taking the box from his hands. I opened the box to a beautiful emerald necklace, it was light and shined so brightly in the light. Could the God of Mischief be sweet? "Oh, Loki, it's beautiful, I love it!" I pulled him into a big hug, to which he hesitantly returned. Pulling away, "Will you put it on me?" I asked, he nodded and I turned around lifting my hair up as he clasped the necklace together. I could feel the cold from his skin, inches away from the back of my neck.

---

After what seemed like forever of just chatting with each other, walking around the palace, we came to a stop in the garden. This seemed to be a place he was fond of. We took a seat on the marble bench and I took in a deep breath of fresh air. "You like it here in the garden." I said looking at all the beautiful statues, flowers, and trees. "I can see why too, it's beautiful." He smiled at me. "I like that you can look at anything and determine it's beauty. But I know that you mean it more than just externally." He took a deep breath taking in everything around him. "I like the garden so much, because I can always be me without actually hurting anyone." I raised a brow. "What do you mean?"

"Well, in the garden, I can be anything. I once turned myself into a snake and tried to kill my brother." He chuckled. "He loves snakes so I knew he'd fall for it. I stabbed him. We were eight." He smiled proudly. "Loki, doesn't that bother you?" I asked. "Well, not really. Sometimes I even surprise myself. But since I went to the TVA, and I realized all the true harm I had caused, I calmed down." He set his hand on top of mine. "The TVA?" I asked. "They basically watch all of time to make sure things go the right way. I messed something up, typical." He huffed. "Took me damn long to get out of there too."

---

We sat and talked in the garden for hours, long after dark. Before I knew it I was yawning and couldn't keep my head up. "Time for bed?" Loki asked letting out a small laugh. "I suppose so." He held my hand and just like that were in my room.

I'll never get used to that I thought. "Oh it will take some time but you will." Loki replied. In my head. I darted my eyes at him. "Are you in my head?" I asked out loud. "Yes, but this is the first time I promise."  He said. IN. MY. HEAD. "Well isn't that nice." I said sarcastically.

I changed into my pajamas and got ready for bed. Loki walked over to me and gave me a kiss on the head. "Goodnight, beautiful Iris." And then he disappeared.

I laid in my bed, deep in thought. This is now my life, and I better get used to it. Loki seems to be making that easy. I just hope it will continue to be that way.
