What happened next was a bit of a blur. The police came out to you, arriving a few hours after Andy was detained. You'd been waiting at the station the entire time, waiting for them to arrive. You were kept in an interrogation room, asked a few questions while you waited for the others. You didn't know where Andy was. You tried to not think about it. You could only hope that justice would be served, that he wouldn't get away.

Finally, someone from Boston arrived, alongside Donella.

Donella gasped when she saw you, nearly dissolving into tears. "You're okay," she said, barely able to get the words out.

"Eh, I'm alive," you said. "Is Jensen okay?"

"Yeah, yeah. Him and some of his military friends have gone out to the house," she explained. "They'll be back here soon. In the meantime, we just gotta ask you some questions, okay?"

You nodded as Donella sat next to you, the officer beginning to question you on everything that's happened. And so you told her. Told her from the very beginning, about how you were a naïve girl who was easily manipulated. How Andy was an obsessed man. How he never let you be. How he stalked and stalked and stalked you for years. How he finally broke, and how he kidnapped you, holding you hostage in a basement. How he raped you over and over, how he forced you to be the perfect wife. How you found out you were pregnant, how you used that to your advantage. How you finally had the perfect opportunity, and how you took it.

"That's all we have for you right now," the officer said. "Donella will take you back to a hotel, okay? We'll be in touch while we keep looking into things here."

You nodded, letting Donella lead you out of the interrogation room and out of the station. As you walked out, you saw Andy being led out, too. You were both in the parking lot, and you were frozen still. He was wearing a jumpsuit already, had an officer on either side, being tugged along to a van. He looked back at you, opening his mouth to say something, but the words never came.

Because—

"Hey Barber!"

You paused. No...That couldn't be. Could it? You looked back, gasping, "Dad?!"

He glanced at you and mouthed, I'm sorry. He turned his gaze back to Andy. "You don't get a chance of giving away with this."

He raised his hand. You gasped. No one could move. The gun went off, firing straight at Andy. By the time anyone could move, the bullet already pierced right between his eyes, blood and brain matter splattering everywhere.

Your dad looked at you, dropping the gun, falling to his knees, raising his hands. "I'm sorry," he said. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, Y/N."

You looked at Andy's body, wanting to throw up. After everything you'd been through...for it end like this? It felt like a weight had been lifted off your chest. Never again would you have to worry about him ruining your life. Never again would you have to be scared to answer the phone, to look at a text, to accept a bouquet of flowers.
