Y/n's POV

"My lady? May I come in?" I heard my handmaiden from the other side of the door. "Yes." I replied, she opened the door and came in. "Hello my lady, your father wanted to tell you the sir Todoroki is paying a visit and wanted you to look your best." I sighed and nodded.

My father has been wanting me to marry sir Todoroki for awhile. I don't even know him! I've only seen him once, everything else is just stories about him defeating monsters. "May I ask why he's paying a visit?" I asked as she began to do me hair. "Sorry my lady... I didn't get any detail." She said sadly. "It's alright."

Once she was finished I put on a dress and walked to the mirror. She did my hair as (Favorite hair style) and I had a beautiful white and f/c dress on. "Thank you." I said and bowed to my handmaiden, making her blush and widen her eyes. I do it every time and yet she's still not used to getting bowed to by me.

"Is my father in the dining hall?" I asked and she nodded. I left to go find my father at the dining hall . When I found him, sir Todoroki and his father were already there talking with my father. "Ah Y/n my lovely daughter, come here." He said and waved me over with the most fake smile ever.

I sat down in front of Todoroki and awkwardly looked away from his stare. "You've met my daughter before haven't you?" My father asked. "Uh only once." He replied. "Well son, I have already told you, King L/n and I have prepared an arranged marriage for you." Todorokis father said. "We think it's best for you both." My father finished. My eyes widened and I looked up at my father. He just looked away.

He promised! He promised he wouldn't force me to marry anyone that I didn't know or didn't want to!

Todoroki and I made eye contact and we both seemed angry. "But father-" I started but was cut off. "Hush Y/n, I don't want to hear it. It's happening whether you like it or not." My eyes slightly brimmed with tears. He can't make me right? "But you promised you wouldn't!" I started to get angry. My father threw a glare and stood up. "One second please." My father said then dragged me into the next room.

"Y/n I know what I said, but I change my mind. If you screw this up there will be severe consequences." He said as he grabbed my face harshly. "But I don't even know him!" I said as my eyes were filled with tears from pain. "Quiet!" He yelled and slapped me across the face. "Do as you're told." I looked down in despair and nodded.

We walked back out and sat down. I heard them talking but they stopped when they saw us. We sat back down and I made eye contact with Todoroki again. He looked at me sympathetically but his eyes widened when he saw my face. I was confused at first but realized there was probably a big red mark (No pun intended) on my face. "Sorry for the wait, just needed to talk things through with Y/n. But she agrees to marry him." My father said making me look down.

"Todoroki also agreed, isn't that right my son." His father said and put an arm around him. He looked down and nodded also. "Great, the wedding shall be here in 3 months so they can have some time together." My father said and stood up. "It must've been a long ride out here would you like to stay for a drink? Let the new couple get to know each other?" My father suggested. "Of course." Todorokis father said and they left us in the dining hall.

"I'm sorry..." We both said at the same time. We looked at each other and smiled. "What are you sorry for?" I asked. "It's probably my fathers fault were in this mess. He's been talking about me marrying you for years." He explained. "No, so has my father. I think ever since the fist ball you and your father came to." I said and we smiled at each other. "Well there's no stopping it now... might as well make the best of it right?" He said and stood up, walking around the table. He held his hand out, I took it and nodded.

We walked through the castle, him mostly just following me considering he had no clue where we're going. I decided to walk to the library garden since it's one of my favorite places in the castle. "Did your father... hit you when you went to go talk with him?" He asked, making me pause for a second. "Yeah, but it's okay! I'm fine... pretty much used to it by now." I said with out thinking. I gasped and covered my mouth. I basically just told him my father is really abusive, he's probably gonna think lowly of the L/n family now.

"You don't have to worry... my father used to be abusive too, he kinda stopped once I became a knight though." He explained, and I nodded.

"Where are you walking to anyways? I've kinda just been following you. "Oh the library garden, it's my favorite place." I said with a big smile.
