"So, what do you like to watch?" Jeffany asked Riley. The living room of Jeffany's house was dark as the curtains were draped to cover the light coming through the window. Jeffany turned on the fluorescent light, and the living room came to life. They were sitting on the couch in front of the television. Riley was leaning his back with his arms extended, while Jeffany rested her head on Riley's left arm. Jeffany placed her face near Riley's, smiling.

"Your choice," Riley said, glinting one of his killer smiles.

"Okay," Jeffany said and planted a kiss on Riley's cheeks. She went to the television and ducked under it. There was a cabinet with glass doors that housed piles of CD's. Jeffany searched through it, finding the most scariest (super superlative) movie she had ever watched. I'll hug him very tight!

"What about this?" Jeffany asked, facing the cover of the movie to Riley.

Riley's eyes widened as he placed his hand to his chest. "O, God! What's that?!" he shrieked as he brushed his chest.

"The Ring," Jeffany said, closing the glass doors. Then, she looked at Riley, finding him very pale. "Oh, sorry," Jeffany said, hiding the disc cover. "You afraid of ghosts?"

"No, no," Riley said defensively, waving his hands in front of him. "I'm just... I was just... a little... shocked? Yeah," he nodded, "I was just shocked."

"O... kay," Jeffany said. She turned herself to the DVD player and clicked the open button. She placed the disc inside and pressed close. She fetched the remote control and sat on the couch next to Riley.

The movie started. Jeffany was sitting relaxly, but Riley seemed uncomfortable. His left leg was shaking again and he couldn't still in his place, like his butt was set on fire. Jeffany was resting on his arm, and she could feel the twitching sensation everytime the sound effects went loud and creepy. Jeffany looked at Riley and she saw the beads of sweat around his face. There was a trail of sweat from Riley's left sideburn to his chin. He looked exhausted, like the life was being taken out of him.

"Riley," Jefanny called him by the name.

Riley swiveled his head alertily to Jeffany's direction, his eyes looked sore.

Jeffany touched his face, wiping the sweat by her fingers. "Are you okay? You look sick." His skin is cold.

"No, no," Riley said, and shut his eyes when the creepy sound effect boomed. "Where's your bathroom? I think I need to-"

"There," Jeffany pointed further the kitchen.

"Thanks," Riley said, standing up quickly and ran to the direction where Jeffany was pointing.

Jeffany heard the tingling sound of the kitchen utensils. She was to stand up to look after Riley when she saw him running back to the living room, all sweaty and out of breathe. His face was drained out of color, like he had just seen a ghost.

"What's that?" Riley asked furiously.

"I don't know," Jeffany shrugged. "Maybe rats or something."

Riley wiped the sweat on his forehead with his forearm. "Oh, God."

Jeffany looked at him suspiciously, scrutinizing him in every angle. When Riley turned to her, he asked, "What are you looking at?"

"Are you sure you're not afraid of ghosts?" Jeffany asked with a stern look.

"Yeah, of course I'm not! I'm old enough to stop believing those scary creatures that creeps out under your bed and crawling under your blanket. And it's impossible for a body form to move out of the television, right? Phantoms, vampires, white ladies. Who believes them? Not me, of-"
