New Orleans
I had lived in New Orleans my whole life. From the moment I was born in the bayou to now, standing outside of Rousseau's, smoking a cig, with inside Cami talking to some blonde bimbo on the other side of the bar. I had meet Cami a few weeks ago while attending college classes. We had decided to get a drink afterward and I invited her into my small circle of people, Mary, Chloe, and I.
There was always something so poetic about our friendship. Mary and I were werewolves, and Chloe was a witch. We all knew about it but never really spoke about the supernatural. That was until Chloe's coven decided to move forward with the Harvest. I was always secluded from the supernatural but not in the way you'd think.
My father was a vampire hunter and my mom was a witch, weird pairing I know. Now your probably thinking, "How on earth is this girl a werewolf but her parents are different species?" Spoiler alert, I'm adopted. My dad had a friend whose wife died in labor and then he passed away overseas, a few weeks later.
Anyways, my parents had always been open about the world around us, me and my siblings, of course, Lillian and Rowan. Ro and Lilli were witches, of the New Orleans Coven. That's actually how I meet Chlo. She and I had met after Lilli had gotten into an accident, we were about 15. After that we were inseparable. I had met Mary years before, I was 11 years old. My parents were always very open about my identity and wanted me to be a part of a pack. There weren't many wolves left, most of them were stuck in their wolf form permanently after Marcel Gerard had cast a spell on them. I had met Eve. Eve's a midwife in the bayou. She taught me about my history. She said my mother was a kind person, but she said nothing more than that. She told her of the Kenner family. That's when I had meet Mary and Jack. Jack was Mary's older brother (only by 2 years). She was also 1 year younger than me.
Jack had talked about a girl named Andrea and how he was supposed to marry her. Since she was the last of this infamous line that was killed off. I wanted to meet her. He talked of her like she was an angel, sent straight from heaven. Apparently, arranged marriages were common in the cresent pack. But Jack seemed happy he'd have someone, to unite each other's families. I had met many other people in the pack, Aiden and Oliver, who were Jack's closest friends. When I went home that night and told my parents about my day, let's just say they weren't happy.
When I was 14 I triggered my werewolf curse. My dad wanted to show me how to kill a vampire and it didn't really... work out. I ended up shooting one of the tourists with a wooden bullet, in the heart. My dad always told me it was fine, that he handled that night, but I've always wondered what actually happened.
Growing I had been told not to fear my curse, but that night, I was terrified. I didn't know if I'd turn back. If I'd ever be human again. If I'd ever see Lilli and Ro again. There is nothing more terrifying than knowing your life could be ripped away from you at any moment. Knowing the world won't be there the same way it was when you woke that morning. There's no other way to say it, them that I was scared, terrified to say the least. Luckily I had two outstanding siblings to help me. With the help of my mom's guidance and behind their coven back, they made sure I made it through my transformation. Ever since then I've gone through my transition with ease - ish.I should probably go back inside to check on Cami, she always had someone hitting on her, you know.
