CHAPTER 10: Crethymon Crest Hospital

Imagine, you and your destined partner, sitting in a cafe, sharing your desserts, flirting, smiling at each other, and holding each other's hand.

All around you were the sounds of other people chattering, and the smell of brewed coffee would drift to your noses but with all those distractions, you and your partner paid no heed and focused on your own little world.

Now read the first word of the sentence above.

I look around the cafe and see how the people in there are mostly couples, they look so in love and they'd talk in soft whispers, you'd know if you've witnessed it before. It's what couples do when they talk about sweet nothings to each other but at the same time, they don't want other people to hear them so they whisper.

Most of them sit at the other half of the cafe, they all seem to be talking about romance, and here we are talking about murder, amazing.

Next thing you know, while some are having or attending a wedding, I'm attending a funeral, better yet, my own funeral.

"Now you might be wondering why there is no data available for it right?" The woman asked and I nodded.

"Well, that's because it's connected with..." she looked around as if afraid someone might hear, then she whispered close, "The Bluryfog Gang!" Then she sipped her tea and moved back.

I blinked trying hard not to show any emotion on my face. After all, that would make me very suspicious.

"The Bluryfog  Gang?!" I whisper and gasped playing along pretending I don't know what she was talking about.

"You don't know?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. I put on a confused look on my face.

"Well, if you really don't then I'll tell you. A week ago, in a house belonging to a once-famous doctor, someone was killed, and it was the said doctor! He was murdered at midnight and by morning when the authorities found his body. They also found a few things and that was the famous Bluryfog Gang Symbol."

"But right now, we're here to talk about the book, so we'll talk about it. Apparently, something odd happened in that case involving this book. Because, this book," she said pointing to the book, "Was the same book found on the desk of the victim."

"This exact book?" I asked and she furrowed her eyebrows.

"Well, I'm not really sure if this is the exact same book but it's still kinda like it." The woman said, averting her eyes. "Anyways, it is said that when the authorities came to take pictures of the crime scene, this book was there, but the next day when they checked again, the book was nowhere to be found."

"Maybe someone accidentally took it thinking it was like a proof or something," I suggested.

"Doubt it," She said. "Because based on authorities, that book was deemed as something that isn't needed by them."

"One more thing," She added. "Other than the symbol and the missing book. There's also another odd mystery on the case. And that is that on top of the body, was a rose." I raised my eyebrow after hearing her words.

'A rose? Wait a minute, I think I did see a rose in that picture. Why would a rose be there?' I questioned myself but my thoughts were cut off by the lady.
