CHAPTER 12: Let The Operation Start!
I began thrashing like a mad-man on the moving bed which I guess was a stretcher of some sort.
I looked down to my wrists wondering why I wasn't moving as much as I expected only to find that my hands were both tied to the stretcher.
"Let me go." I started but instantly the 'docto'" placed his hand on my mouth and began directing the stretcher to a spare room all the while I was struggling to keep his hand off my mouth.
He turned to lock the door of the room and walked back to where I was laying.
"Remove these," I started glancing at my wrists to which the 'doctor'paused for a moment, went over and removed them.
"Sorry for that, but let me explain-" He didn't finish what he was saying when I suddenly punched him in the face causing him to drop down to the floor and wince.
I massaged my hand as I stood up from the stretcher and eyed him as he slowly stood back up muttering curses along the way.
"I guess I deserved that," he says, chuckling as he massages his fake cheek. Then he removes the fake skin of his face causing me to see his, I'm guessing, real face.
He had black messy hair, light pale skin, a skinny but strong looking body type, a beauty mark under his right eye and probably his most noticeable odd future, his purple eyes. He was also taller than me. A fact I disliked.
"Why were you wearing a mask a while ago?" I asked him, making sure to sound like I'm very suspicious of him.
And yes, I should have asked more important questions, but what do you expect? I'm more curious about why he decided to show up to me with a mask before and now in his original look.
I mean, I thought he probably put on the mask for safety measures but now he has his mask off so... I'm confused.
"Safety measure." He answered, shrugging his shoulders. So I was right...
"Then why aren't you wearing it now?"
"Good question. Hm, maybe because I feel somewhat comfortable with you. Also because the mask is hot and I pretty much sweat buckets if I wear it." He says, fanning his face.
'Seems fair,' I thought.
"Why bring me with you?" I asked him. To which he sighed, grabbed a chair, and sat down folding his arms.
"Because you needed help." He simply answered.
To which earned an eyebrow raise from me. "Are you sure it's me who needed help? Have you looked at yourself?" I asked but he ignored my questions.
"You wanted to go inside undetected didn't you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
I eyed him and sat down on the bed before answering, "So what if I wanted to go in. That doesn't concern you."
"Before it didn't. But since both of us are here now, then you're part of the mess." They say, their tone playful and proud.
My hand clenched once again and I was about to stand up and punch him when he instantly placed his hands up as a shield.
"Please don't punch me." He pleaded to which I simply glared at him.
'I think the, 'I feel comfortable' with you is fake.' I thought in disdain.
