Chapter 14: BLACKOUT

The lift dinged signaling that we have stopped at the floor where this nurse or whoever she is, decided to bring me. FINALLY!

We went up to the 12th floor and oh my crethymon butterfly the experience was scary!

She pushed me out of the lift and turned into a hallway casually greeting other people as she brought me to wherever we are going.

Miraculously, throughout all these, I had managed to stay in character. At least, I think so. Since no one suspected so I'm guessing I've been doing well, so far.

"Hm, I wonder where your room is?" I hear her ask herself as she suddenly pauses.

"Usually, there should be a name or tag but I don't see it..." She mutters as she looks at me up and down and around my wheelchair.

'Now what?!' I panicked. 'I do not know how to get rid of her!'

I looked around and spotted a bathroom. I guess this will do.

I began muttering, "Water...Water..." whilst turning my head around as if I were looking for something. The nurse looked around as well.

"Okay, okay, wait here. I'll get you water." She says to me and quickly jogs to look for water.

I raised my eyebrows, "I thought she'd bring me to the bathroom..." I mutter to myself.

But I guess this is fine, and so quickly I moved the wheels of the wheelchair and headed for the bathroom trying to look casual since there were still some people in the hallway.

I managed to get to the bathroom and went into the small room for the disabled patients.

Good thing, no one was inside.

I quickly locked the door and stood up stretching my legs and massaging my knees.

"Damn, that was difficult. I'm never doing this again." I said to myself and removed my old man mask and my patient's dress.

I walked to the sink and washed my face before fixing my hair in the mirror.

At this point, I'm not really that scared about them seeing my face.

I mean, why should I?

Maybe the whole memory of those doctors looking for me was simply... the effects of a child's wild imagination.

Yeah, why would they want to look for me anyway? It's not like I had any connections with them.

With that, I abandoned the wheelchair, fixed my slightly crumpled suit, and walked out carefully, making sure that no one was around to see me coming out of the disabled patient's restroom.

I walked the halls casually and decided to look away once I see any guard. As much as there's a possibility those memories could have been imagination, there's nothing wrong with being prepared. Plus, I am in here illegally.

'Let's see,' I thought, trying to look for a way how I can go to Doctor Gideon Moun's office.

As I wondered, I suddenly heard voices near the corner in front of me.

"Wasn't that the one that happened a few years ago?" A male voice asked and even though I'm not one to eavesdrop. I couldn't resist and casually stood there trying to pretend I'm just...chilling.
