I woke up feeling happy thinking that today is my 13th birthday. Not only is it my birthday,but it's also my best friend's birthday. I got dressed in jeans, black converse, a blue tank top and put my hair in a ponytail. I walked downstairs to eat breakfast and my family greeted me with warm smiles. "Happy birthday short stop!" My brother Dustin said. He always felt proud of how much taller he was than me. The rest of my siblings said happy birthday . After breakfast I crossed the street to the Lynches' house. I knocked on the door and it opened revealing Riker. "Hey Jess! Happy birthday ," he said hugging me . " Hey Rikey , is Rocky here?", as soon as I said that he walked in. "Hey Jess, Happy Birthday " "Happy Birthday Rocky ". We gave each other a hug and the rest of his siblings came downstairs. Ross, Rydel, and Ryland came up to me and said happy birthday. We decided to go play a little bit of football in their backyard and we asked my siblings if they wanted to join. The teams were: Dustin, Rydel, Samantha, Ross and Riker on one team and Rocky, Ryland, Michael, AJ and I on the other. Our team ended up losing 3-0. "See Jess, told you your team could never beat us," Ross said with a smirk on his face. As soon as he said that I tackled him to the floor and we started a mini fighting match. It ended up with me pinning him to the floor. "Aww. Look at those two lovebirds playing around," said Rydel. Ross started blushing real red and I said "Wow! Really Rydel? Really?" "What, it's cute." I just rolled my eyes and walked back inside the house. Ross always had a crush on me and everyone knew it, but he was still to shy to show it. Everyone else walked back inside and we were just talking until my mom called Dustin. "Mom said we have to go. She said she's got something important to tell us". Samantha, Dustin, Michael, AJ and I left. As we entered the house we saw our parents sitting on the couch. Samantha spoke up first "What's so important that you have to tell us?". "We are moving to California."
