Falling In Love In The First Date

Riker's P.O.V.
"Riker, wake up dude", Ross said shaking me. I opened my eyes adjusting them to the light. "What do you want?", I slurred still sleepy. "It's 10:30. You don't usually sleep in this much", he responded. It was true. "Okay. Fine. I'm up", I said stretching and lifting myself up. "Mom made breakfast and left it in the counter for you." "Thanks man." "No problem." With that said, he walked out of the room I shared with Rocky. I got up, brushed my teeth and my awesome hair, and changed into jeans, stayed shirtless and walked downstairs. Just like Ross said, there was a plate of pancakes on top of the counter, which I gladly ate. I was halfway through my second pancake when I decided to text Kaitlyn.

R- Good morning :)
K- Good morning Riker :)
R- I was wondering, would you like to go on that date?
K- Oh sure. What time?
R- How about 1:00? We can go eat lunch and we'll think of what to do from there.
K- Awesome. I'll see you soon then.
R- I'll see you soon then.

Now to plan a perfect date, but first... I'll finish my pancake.
Kaitlyn's P.O.V.
The doorbell rang and I ran to open the door. I may have tripped on the way there, but that's not important. I opened the door and Jess walked in. "Ok, what's the 'important' thing you wanted to tell me", she said. "Riker asked me out!", I blurted. We both started screaming and jumping up and down like little kids. "That's awesome!", she said.
"Yeah, and I need you to help me pick out an outfit for my date", I said dragging her upstairs and into my room. She walked into my closet and searched through the clothes. "Wait, where are you guys going anyways?", she asked. "We don't know yet. All we know is that we're going to lunch. We'll see where we go from there." With that she continued searching. After about 5 minutes of searching, she picked out an outfit. It was a white and green shirt with an infinity sign on it, light blue jeans, my green converse, and some bracelets and a necklace that matched the earrings I was already wearing. "Go change", she ordered me. "Sir yes sir", I said. "You're such a dork." "I know." I walked to the bathroom and changed. When I came back Jess was sitting on my bed scrolling through her phone with a sad look on her face. She looked like she was in the verge of tears, honestly. "Jess, you alright?", I spoke up startling her a bit. "Yeah I'm fine", she responded. "No you're not". I walked over to her and sat next to her on my bed. "What's wrong?", I asked again. She didn't answer, she just showed me her phone and I looked down at the screen. I gasped at what I saw. Comments on YouTube, they were insulting her. Some calling her ugly, others saying her singing was horrible. Just plain mean comments. "You don't have to listen to them Jess. They're just jealous", I said trying to chear her up. "I know, it's just, I can't just pretend I didn't see anything", she responded. "Hey you're amazing. Don't let anyone put you down. You know you're awesome, I know you're awesome, your siblings and my siblings know you're awesome, the Lynches know you're awesome. You don't need anyone else to think you're awesome. You have us and you always will", I said. She smiled and tackled me with a hug. "Thank you", she said. "That's what best friends are for." We pulled away from the hug and we continued with getting me ready.
Jess' P.O.V.
"Hair up or hair down?", I asked Kaitlyn. "Hair up in a ponytail please", she responded. I put her hair up and since she didn't wear that much make up, just like me, she went with a natural look. "You look like you got run over by a box of green crayons", I said laughing. "Hey! You chose the outfit not me", she responded. "True", I replied. "What time is Riker coming over?", I asked. "About 1:00. What time is it?" "12:30", I said. "Cool. I have half an hour to chill" she said.

Kaitlyn's P.O.V.
Jess left about 10 minutes ago because she had band practice. I was just being lazy and waiting for Riker to arrive. All my siblings were out who knows where. I heard the doorbell ring and knowing it was Riker, I got my purse and walked over to the door. Opening the door, I revealed a very handsome looking Riker. He was wearing black converse, a white T-shirt, and some jeans. It may be simple but he rocked everything he wore. "Kaitlyn? You okay,"  he snapped me out of my thoughts.  I must've been staring at him. "Yeah I'm fine. You ready?", I asked. "Yup. You?", he said. "Yup." We walked over to his car and drove on. We went to a nearby In N Out. When we got our food we sat at a booth and ate and talked happily. "So what's your favorite song of ours?", Riker said while I took a bite of my burger. "R5?", I asked right after swallowing. He simply nodded. "I can't choose. They're are all amazing. But I really like Here Comes Forever", I answered. "Cool." What's your favorite song from me?", I asked curiously. "I really like Shut Up And Dance, it gets me and Rydel dancing", he said.
Riker's P.O.V.
Is it weird that I feel like I've fallen in love? We had just finished eating all were heading back to the car. "What do you wanna do next?", I asked Kaitlyn as soon as we got in the car. "Umm, I honestly don't know", she said. "How about we go to Get Shaved?", I suggested. "Awesome!", she responded with adorable excitement. We headed to Get Shaved and sang in the car on our way there. "You are a horrible singer", she said laughing. "Hurtful!", I fake pouted. We were in line to Get Shaved and we were just talking about random stuff. "What would you like?", the guy at the register asked us. "I want a medium Let Them Eat Cake with vanilla ice cream beneath and condensed milk on top", I said. "And I want a medium Rockin Rainbow with vanilla ice cream beneath and condensed milk on top", Kaitlyn told the guy. We payed and waited for our orders to be called.

Kaitlyn's P.O.V.
We were walking around with our Shaved ice in our hands just talking. I enjoyed just listening to him. I think I'm in love. Is that weird? "You should come to our next concert. I would be happy if you came and saw us perform", Riker said. "And I'd be glad to attend your concert", I smiled and he smiled back.

We were back home after a long day of just walking, talking and enjoying each other's company. "Thanks Riker. I had fun. And the food was awesome!", I said. He chuckled, "I'm glad you had fun. I did too. I'll see you soon then". He leaned in and so did I. Our lips touched and may I just say AAAAHHHH!!!!! Amazing! We finally pulled away. "I'll see you soon then", I said. With that, he walked away. I closed the door. That boy has me head over heels.
