Jess' P.O.V.
"I want a cheeseburger!" Sam screamed as we entered McDonald's late at night. The Lynch kids, Ellington, Kaitlyn, my siblings and I decided to go eat right after the concert. We decided on McDonald's considering it was the nearest place open at midnight. "Jesus. Sam. Stop yelling. You're being weird," Kaitlyn said. "And you're not?" Sam responded. "Yeah, I am. But I make it work," Kaitlyn said with fake sass making us all laugh. We ordered food. "Jess, you only got fries?" Ross questioned. "Yeah," I said. "Is that enough for you?" "Considering I'm gonna do this," I said taking Dustin's burger and biting it, whilst receiving a glare from him, "Then yes. Yes it's enough." Ross smiled and I smiled back, my heart melting at the sight of his sweet, sweet smile. "So what are y'all gonna do tomorrow?" Rydel asked. We all looked at each other and shrugged. "Let's have a pool party!" Rydel shouted, earning lots of yay's. "Oh! Rydel, Jess, Sam! Sleep over my house!" Kaitlyn said excitedly. "Yes! A night without Rydel!" Riker cheered. "How rude," Rydel fake pouted. "I call your bed," I said. "What? No. It's a sleepover. We're all gonna sleep in the living room. You're not sleeping on my bed," Kaitlyn said. "I ain't sleeping on the floor either," I commented. I heard Rocky chuckle from where he was sitting next to me. "Fine. Sleep on the couch," she gave in. "Ugh. The couch?!" I sighed, "Alright. Couch it is."

Sam and I rushed to our house and Rydel rushed to her's. I changed into my pjs, got extra clothes, and my toothbrush and put them in a bag. I snatched my Attack On Titan blanket and walked downstairs to wait for Samantha to finish getting her stuff. "Really?" Sam asked pointing at my blanket when she walked into the living room. "What? I may be 18, but I still need my blankey," I defended. We left a note for mom and dad cause we didn't wanna wake them up to tell them we weren't gonna be home that night. The boys would most likely forget to let them know, so might as well write a note. "Alright. Let's go," Sam said and we walked to Kaitlyn's house which was only a few houses away. We walked in seeing Rydel already there with Kaitlyn. "What do ya wanna do?" Kaitlyn asked. We all agreed in watching a movie. It was 1:30 am and her parents and siblings were sleeping so there really wasn't much to choose from. We settled in watching The Nightmare Before Christmas. The movie was halfway through when a tired feeling took over me, until everything went black and I fell into a deep sleep.

I'm running again. Danny right behind me. Then the dark figure once again appeared. "Come on Jess! Run!" I held the dark figure's hand and began running. I tried making out his face, but the darkness of the night didn't help me whatsoever. We made it to a street. Danny pushed him and they began to fight. "No stop!" I shouted. Why couldn't this all be over? Then I saw lights. Headlights once more. "Look out!" I shouted. Only this time I sprang to my feet and ran towards them. I had to help somehow.

"Jess, wake up." I opened my eyes to see Kaitlyn staring down at me. "Dude, you okay?" she asked. I nodded. That dream again. Why? We ate breakfast and I kept thinking about the dream. "What do you think Jess?" I heard Rydel say. I looked up from my bowl of cereal, "Huh?" "Did you not hear anything I said?" Rydel questioned. "No, sorry Delly." "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I'm fine. What were you saying?" Rydel and Kaitlyn looked at each other, then Rydel spoke up. "That we should start setting up stuff for our pool party and we could order pizza for all to eat," she explained. I nodded, "Yeah. Sounds fine." I forced a smile.

Rocky's P.O.V
The girls walked in while we were playing an epic game of COD. Ellington had stayed over last night, too lazy to drive him back to his house, and Dustin, AJ, and Michael had come over a while earlier. "Hey guys," I said looking away from the TV for not even 2 seconds. I received a few hi's from them. I was playing with Ell and Riker while the rest were watching. I felt someone sit next to me in the couch. Jess. "Don't die," she whispered. Just then, my character was shot. ""The hell, Jess! You jinxed it!" I said. She laughed and stood up. "You're welcome best friend," she smiled innocently. And began walking away. "No. This isn't over," I shouted as I ran towards her. She started running and I chased her around the house. "Get her Rocky!" Riker and Ell cheered. Ross, Rydel, Ryland, Kaitlyn and Samantha were cheering for Jess, "Run Jess! Run!" I caught up to her and picked her up bridal style. "You little bastard," she struggled, "Put me down!" She was laughing uncontrollably. "Okay. As you wish," I grinned. I walked out to the backyard and let her fall into the pool.
Jess' P.O.V.
I resurfaced with both my middle fingers up in the air. The guys were cracking up. "Yo, Jess. Careful. You might drown," Riker teased laughing. I climbed out of the pool and walked towards Riker, whom was too busy laughing to not notice I was in front of him. I took my chances and pushed him into the pool. "Who's laughing now?" I smirked. Riker popped his head out, "Oh, it's on." Next thing you know we were all chasing each other and pushing each other in the pool. But then, Ross took it too far. I was busy 'wrestling' Ryland when suddenly something cold went over me. "Holy shit!" I screamed squirming at the cold. Ross stood with an empty cup. He'd poured water and ice on my head. Everyone started laughing. "Oh no he didn't," Ellington said in a white girl voice. I jumped on Ross' back and began punching him. "That. Was. Not. Fair," I said through punches. He then threw himself into the pool in an attempt to get rid of me.

After the whole 'pushing people into the pool' thing, we all decided to change into our actual bathing suits. I sitting on the edge of the pool with my feet in when someone sat next to me. I looked at my right to see Riker sitting there. "How are things with Rocky and Ross?" he asked. I shrugged. "How are things with Kaitlyn?" He shrugged as well. There was silence between us. The guys were playing some basketball game they always did in the pool and the girls were just talking about random things. "How much do you weigh?" Riker broke me away from my thoughts. I looked at him confused. "Why ya asking?" "Have you seen how much you eat?" Kinda stung. "I don't know," I said. Lie. I weighed around 110, which for a 5'7 foot girl like me wasn't exactly right. "You need to eat," Riker said. "I do e-" "Come on Jess. We've all seen how much you really eat," he cut me off, speaking a little too loud. Loud enough for the rest to hear and stop whatever they were doing. "Can you speak a little lower?" I said. Riker rolled his eyes, "Just wanna help." I looked down and sighed, "Wish you could."
Rocky's P.O.V.
I saw Jess rush into the house. "What did you do to her?!" I shouted at Riker. He had sad eyes. I didn't even let him answer my question and I walked inside the house.
No One's P.O.V.
Rocky looked throughout the rooms of his house. No sight of Jess. He tugged on a shirt, kept his swim shorts, and walked across the street to the Johnson's. He knocked and the door. No response. He moved the handle. Unlocked. He let himself in. The house felt cold. Maybe it was the reaction of being out of the pool. Rocky made his way through the house, checking the living room, backyard, and kitchen. He made his way up the stairs and into Jess' room. There she was sitting on the floor near her bed with a guitar. Rocky made no noise, so she didn't notice he was there. She sang softly:

As we wake up in your room,
Your face is the first thing I see,
The first time I've seen love,
And the last I'll ever need,

You remind her that your future would be nothing without her,
Never lose her, I'm afraid,
Better think of something good to say

But it's all been done, more than once so I'll keep on trying,
Oh God don't let me be the only one who says...

No! At the top of our lungs,
There's no, no such thing as too young,
Second chances won't leave you alone,
When there's faith and love

She was always the one,
I'll repeat it again, the one,
No such thing as too young,
Red lights flash in the car we're kissing in,
Call me crazy,

I've always tried to remind her that the future's
Just a few heartbeats away from disaster.
I'm afraid that I've thrown it all away.

No! At the top of our lungs,
There's no, no such thing as too young,
Second chances won't leave you alone (won't leave you alone...)

No at the top of our lungs,
There's no, no such thing as too young,
Second chances won't leave you alone

(No)
We'll repeat it again,
There's no, no such thing as too young,
Second chances won't leave you alone,
'Cause there's faith and...

(Love)
If you kiss me goodnight,
I'll know, everything is alright,
Second chances won't leave us alone,
Won't leave us alone,
'Cause there's faith and love

A sigh escaped Jess' lips when she finished singing. When she looked up she saw a smiling Rocky. "That was beautiful," he said. "Yeah. Pierce The Veil has really good lyrics in the their songs," Jess responded. "I meant your voice," he said. They smiled at each other. Warm, nice emotions mixed in Jess. It was as if Rocky had made her forget exactly why she was upset in the first place. Of course, that was until he made the question, "What's wrong?"
Rocky's P.O.V.
Jess shrugged at my question. "What was the whole fuss with Riker about?" I asked as I took a seat in front of her on the floor. She set her guitar down next to her. "He kept asking about my weight. I don't like when people comment about it. 'You have to eat more'. 'Stop starving yourself'. It tires me and it makes me feel really uncomfortable. It's my life and no one has a say in what I decide to do," she ranted out. I could tell she really needed to let it out. "I get you get uncomfortable. But, Jess, you gotta understand we care about you. We don't say things to bother you, but because we're concerned," I said taking her hand in mine. "But I'm fine. Really. I am," she said defensively. I sighed. Knowing she'd probably explode with anger if I kept pushing her about it, I decided to change the subject. I picked up her guitar and said, "You know, I play much better guitar than you." "Ha! You wish. I'm awesome at guitar," she dusted her shoulder off in a bragging way. I played a riff on her acoustic. "See? Way better than you," I smirked.
Jess' P.O.V.
I took my guitar from Rocky's hands and pushed him making him stumble to his back from the crisscross position he was sitting in. "I'm too lazy to get up now," he said flailing his arms. "Doof," I said standing up. He raised his arms up. "Help." I rolled my eyes and took his hands to help him up, only to be pulled down by him. I landed flat on top of Rocky. "Well hello there," he said looking at me. "This looks wrong," I said with a giggle. "Yet it feels right," he wiggled his eyebrows. "Perv," I said, lightly slapping him. He smiled at me, his dimples showing. "Boop," I said poking his dimples. He smiled even wider. Then he started leaning in, and so did I. Our lips touched. Rocky wrapped his arms around my waist as we moved in sink. I cupped his cheek in my hand.

Rocky and Jess pulled apart a while later. They smiled at each other. "Be mine?" Rocky whispered loud enough for the both to hear. Jess leaned her head on his chest. Something inside her held her back. "What about your brother?" she asked, though that was not the actual reason why she was hesitating. Rocky sighed. He loved Jess, yet he couldn't hurt his brother. "I don't know," he said. More silence. Jess heard his heartbeat. Steady like a horse's gallop. "Promise me the next time something's bothering you, you'll let me know," Rocky broke the silence. "I will," Jess responded. Again, silence. They stayed like that for a while longer, not wanting to let go.
