Naruto: Senju Resurrection

Chapter 32

Kakashi, Guy and Naruto stood in the stadium's bleachers back to back, looking at the surrounding Shinobi. "What do we do, Kakashi-sensei?" Naruto asks. The enemy had erected some sort of barrier around the roof. Gaara stood in the centre of the arena when his siblings jumped down. After exchanging a few sentences with their sensei, they all took off with Kankuro carrying Gaara after he stumbles. Sasuke jumps after them. "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" He screams as he slams the ground, and a dog appears. "Nice to meet you!" The dog says. Naruto just nods back at him. Sakura, never having seen a talking animal before, was staring bug-eyed at the little dog. "You lay low until you get a chance to run after Gaara and Sasuke. Here take Pakkun. He will lead you to Sasuke. We will take care of these low lives," Kakashi orders his student as he hands over his summon to Naruto. "Right! Kakashi-sensei," Naruto says as he takes the dog and moves away so Guy and Kakashi can work.

"Sakura, wake Shikamaru up! You have an A-ranked mission: Catch up to Sasuke and stop whatever the sand-siblings have planned, follow Naruto's orders. He is team leader," Kakashi screams out as he punches an enemy. Naruto used the disturbance in their ranks to sneak away and ran towards Shikamaru. "Get up, you lazy fuck! Our home is under attack, and you try to pretend to sleep through it!" Naruto says as he kicks him hard on his backside. "Ouch! You troublesome blonde, I'm up!" Shikamaru screams as he rubs his behind. "You and Ino deserve each other..." He mumbles to himself. "Did you say something!" Naruto yells at him. Fury in his eyes. "No! Nothing!" Was the quick response from Shikamaru. He was standing in salute. "Good, let's go!" Naruto orders.

Naruto, Sakura and Shikamaru, and Pakkun, of course, jump out of the stadium at high speeds. "The boy is up ahead! Let's hurry!" Pakkun says to the small team. "We got company... eight, no nine people following us," Naruto speaks up suddenly. Pakkun smells behind them. "It is true. They are gaining on us fast..." He says. "You guys go ahead to your teammate. I'll deal with this lot in an ambush. Even if it is troublesome..." Shikamaru says. "No way! You can't go against nine people alone! Not in your condition!" Sakura screams. "Kagemane no Jutsu was made to be a distraction. I'll handle things here. You just worry about Sasuke and the sand team," Shikamaru says as he adopts a severe expression. "Naruto! Tell him that he can't take on nine people by himself!" Sakura pleads with her teammate. Naruto thinks about it for a second. "Can you take them?" Naruto asks. "I think so..." Shikamaru says unsurely. "We will leave this to you. If you don't come out this alive, I'll pee on your grave. Just so you know," Naruto says in a grave voice. Clearly, he was joking and was just trying to ease his own worry for his friend. "Now that sounds funny..." Shikamaru says quietly as he tries to hide his unsureity. Shikamaru left the group.

Naruto, Sakura and Pakkun were left. Naruto hadn't spoken a word since leaving Shikamaru. All nine of the trailers have stopped. "Did... did I do the right thing, Sakura?" Naruto asks in a subdued voice. He was beating himself up over it clearly. "We will see when this invasion is over. But I believe you did... No matter what anyone else says, I will have your back," Sakura answers. "It means a lot that you said that..." Naruto says as he turns towards her and sends her a small smile. "If you're done, we need to hurry up to your friends," Pakkun says seriously. "Right, lead the way, Pakkun," Naruto says as they speed up more.

Sasuke moved through the forests at high speed. He soon caught up with Gaara and his siblings. "We need to shake him off before Gaara realises his demon," Temari says to her brother. "I'll take care of him. Go!" Temari screams at her brother, and he takes off. Sasuke scoffs. Temari and Sasuke start to fight. With Sasuke overpowering her after a few seconds of sparring. He jumps away from a beaten Temari.

Naruto, Sakura and Pakkun were speeding through the forest. And they heard a big explosion go off slightly ahead of them. "Sasuke... You better be okay when we catch up..." Naruto says as he speeds up even more. Sakura and Pakkun up their own speeds to keep up. "There is a new smell ahead. Not sure if he is friend or foe," Pakkun says to team seven. Naruto scoffs and tries to speed up even more.
