Naruto: Senju Resurrection

Chapter 42

Naruto increases his speed. He needed to catch up quickly. Kimimaro was fast. Faster than the other Oto-nin that had taken Sasuke. Naruto is struggling to keep up. He was alone now. The other members of his makeshift team were stuck fighting. Naruto did not want to think about any other possibilities. "It seems that I have to fight the strongest one..." Naruto says to himself quietly. "You guys better be okay when I get back..." He silently orders his teammates.

A cĺearing opens up. "Hold it!" Naruto screams, and Kimimaro stops. He probably thinks that stopping now to fight Naruto was his best play. Naruto is angry, probably angrier than he has been in a long while. He was on the brink of losing himself. "What does becoming Orochimaru's vessel mean?!" Naruto roars. "Orochimaru-sama has already obtained the Immoratality Jutsu. A long time is necessary to get every Jutsu and obtain everything in the world," Kimimaro explains. "And? What does that have to do with Sasuke?!" Naruto asks. ""Immortal" does not mean that the flesh is being maintained as is... Before his body decays, a strong new flesh will be made into a vessel for his soul," Kimimaro explains. "So that's why he wants Sasuke?! To be his new body!?" Naruto screams.

Now he was losing himself. His cerulean eyes began to morph. First, the pupils shifted from regular circles into long animalistic slits. Then, the blue turned to blood-red. Next, the whisker marks on his cheeks darkened and became more pronounced. Even his teeth got longer. "I won't let you!" Naruto roars. Red chakra was pulsing off him erratically. He looked like he was about to go down on all fours any minute. Kimimaro readies himself for a fight. He pushes out some bones from his hands. "It seems like you have the wrong idea... Orochimaru-sama isn't doing anything to make Sasuke want to leave Konoha. He did that on his own," Kimimaro says tauntingly. "I'd like to test that theory out myself!" Naruto roars and takes off toward Kimimaro.

Kimimaro had fought many people in his training to become the next vessel for Orochimaru. But nothing had prepared him for a fight with a Jinchūriki. The uncontrolled strength behind every strike almost broke some of his dense bones.

Naruto was relentless. He hated every willing Oto-nin. He hated that Sasuke had become like that. But what he hated most was Orochimaru. That slippery bastard was behind all of this. Naruto jumps back after not finding an opening to exploit. "Mokuton: Moku Bunshin no Jutsu!" Naruto screams out after forming the seals with his hands settling in a snake seal. Ten wood carvings of Naruto begin to form out of his back. "Ho... The famous Mokuton..." Kimimaro says in a bored voice. "Shut up and give me Sasuke," All the Narutos say in unison. Naruto and his clones charge toward Kimimaro. Kimimaro flips over an incoming punch, sidesteps another and uses one clone as a springboard to avoid getting hit, all while chipping into Narutos clones.

The clones got injured but did not brake. Soon Kimimaro got annoyed that the clones didn't dispel and began to power his strikes more. "Bones huh?" a Naruto asks after he got hit. "This is my Kekkei Genkai," Kimimaro says in an even voice. Kimimaro stands up and pulls down his shirt until his shoulder is shown. He reaches his hand up to it, and soon, a white handle-like protrusion begins to grow out of it. He grabs onto it and pulls it out. The complete form was that of a sword made entirely of bone.

Smoke begins to rise from the coffin Sasuke is in. "It'll be done soon," Kimimaro says ominously. Naruto throws some shuriken toward his opponent. "It's useless. This isn't some ordenary bone," Kimimaro says as he deflects the shuriken easily. "The highest density bone is hard as steel," he adds. Naruto doesn't know what to do here. He can't get through Kimimaro's defence, nor can he break the bones he produces. "You better not think you know my strenght after just this much. I posses five dances. I haven't even shown you one," He says warningly. The smoke intensifies. "Come!" Kimimaro says, and all the Narutos run toward him.

Their battle continues. Naruto's clones take some strikes here and there but persist in the struggle. Kimimaro is getting more irritated. Regular clones do not have this staying power. He was also forced to look out for any potential strikes the clones could do. The few hits that had gotten through his defence had hurt a lot. Even if his bones could not be broken. The smoke from the coffin had only intensified during their dance. Kimimaro has been throwing glances at it several times. Nearly getting hit every time he does. Nevertheless, he still maintained a good balance between offence and defence.
