i kissed billie again as we walked into my last class before lunch. this just happened to be one of the classes i don't have with her.

or any of my friends for that matter.

"i really don't wanna go to biology" i groaned as we got closer to the door.

"i know. i would say let's just leave, but they're on my ass about how much i skip now"

i sighed, "it's okay, rather deal with it than you get in trouble"

"think about it this way" billie paused, turning to face me. "after this class, we have lunch then we're done for the day."

"yeah, you're right"

she kissed me once more before i went to class. her face returning to its neutral, flat state once i was away from her.

i loved how i was the only one who knew how soft she really was. she was a complete bitch to everyone else but me.

when i sat down, i saw tatiana walk in.

i forgot she even had this class with me, seeing as how we've both been avoiding each other.

she looked at me for a minute before walking towards the desk next to mine.

great.

she looked like she wanted to say something, but the teacher beat her to it.

"alright. for this class, you will work in pairs of two. each group will have one laptop each and this assignment is due at the end of the period."

i looked around the room as everyone partnered up. i didn't know anyone in this class other than tatiana.

i was about to get up when i felt a hand on my shoulder.

i turned to see tatiana looking at me with sympathetic eyes. "can we talk".

i stared at her for a moment before sitting back down, removing her hand from my shoulder as i did.

"are you two working together ?" our biology teacher asked, with a handful of laptops in her arm.

tatiana turned to me, as if she was waiting for my answer.

"yeah, i guess we are"

the teacher nodded with a smile, placing the laptop down and walking away. i sat up and opened it, going to the assignment we were supposed to be doing.

once i pulled it up, i turned to face her. "well, talk"

her eyes widened, not expecting me to talk to her.

"i just wanted to start by saying i'm sorry. i said a lot of stupid and dumb shit to you and billie"

"you can say that" i scoffed. she bit the side of her lip and looked down.

"sorry, continue" i said.

"i um- i feel really bad and i don't want to lose you as my friend. i'm sorry i made ashanti lie for me, don't be mad at her. it wasn't her fault." she continued.

"i get it. she was just being a good friend".

"but why didn't you tell me? why did you wait till i was with billie to tell me that? like how did you expect me to respond?" i asked, turning my body to face her.

"be honest, would it have changed anything if i came to you first?"

i looked down and thought about what she said for a moment before shaking my head slightly.
