i walked out of biology hand in hand with analy. tatiana hasn't been talking to me and ashanti has been stuck at her side.

"yeah, i think i'm gonna sign back up for dance classes. i really wanna get back into it" i told analy. we were talking about our future careers and i brought up being a dancer.

"you gotta let me come see you dance at least once" .

i chucked and threw my arm over her neck as we walked. "of course".

"good. anyways, wanna skip lunch ?" analy asked, looking at me hopefully.

"yeah sure, can we find billie first though ?"

analy nodded with a smirk on her face, receiving a dramatic eye roll from me.

we walked towards the main building, towards the cafeteria where most students usually hang around.

as i walked towards the door, i saw kayla from a distance. she was standing next to drew and some other people.

her eyes met mine and she made a face i couldn't really make out. she turned to drew and asked her something, i was too far to hear it but when she asked her question, drew looked at me and said something back to her.

suddenly her eyes widened. she turned to me completely and started to walk over to me.

she was about to get closer before i felt a hand grab onto mine.

"hi pretty girl" billie whispered in my ear. i smiled and turned to her, seeing that she was smiling too.

she pulled me into a tight hug and said hi to analy. i loved this affectionate side of her.

i had completely forgotten that kayla was coming towards me; but when i looked back, she was gone.

"me and analy were gonna skip lunch, wanna come?" i asked billie, turning back to face her.

"yeah sure, let me just get drew first".

i went to speak but she had already walked away.

i was nervous to say the least. i wasn't sure if drew liked me or not. the way she looks at me from time to time suggests that she doesn't.

"okay we can go now"

i came out of my thoughts and saw billie with drew next to her.

"drew, this is aaliyah. aaliyah, this is drew"

i smiled and put my hand out to shake hers, but before i could, she engulfed me in a tight hug.

"oh my god hi! i've heard so much about you!!" she exclaimed, rubbing her hand up and down my back.

she eventually let go and shot me a smile before going to hug analy.

billie grabbed onto my hand as we all walked out of the building and towards our cars.

"nah, let's just take mine. we'll come back so you can get your car" billie said. we all agreed and walked over to billies car.

"billie stop!"

"no, open your mouth!"

i laughed as i hid my face under the table.

we were waiting for our food and she got a bowl of fruit as an appetizer, so now, billie is trying to throw a grape into my mouth from across the table.

"okay, one time" i told her, holding my pointer finger up. she nodded with a smile and lifted her hand up holding a grape.

i tilted my head back a little and opened my mouth. she brought her hand back, getting ready to throw it.

"one order of-"

"OW!". i brought my hand up to hold my eye, as billie threw her grape right into it.

"i'm so sorry- she startled me!!" billie said, pointing to the waiter. she came over to my side of the booth and looked at my eye.

the waiter apologized and set the food down, walking away awkwardly. i could see analy and drew from the table next to us just laughing.

"lemme see it". billie removed my hand from my eye and looked at it. my eye was burning so i could assume it looked red as hell, causing billie to pout and kiss it.

"i'm sorry baby" she said softly.

"it's okay, but you're not doing that again".

she threw her hands up in defense and turned over to eat her food. we ate in comfortable silence for a minute before billie turned to me with a unreadable expression.

"what's wrong?" i asked.

she looked between me and the plate in front of me. "can i try yours ?"

"but billie- we have the same thing..."

"yeah i know, but yours looks better. like i don't think they seasoned mine at all"

i sighed and moved back, giving her access to my plate. she smiled widely and took a bite out of it.

"yep, way better"

i furrowed my eyebrows and picked up some food from her plate with my own fork to see the difference.

"billie, they taste the exact same!"

she shrugged and continued eating her food in silence. i sucked my teeth and continued eating my own.

sooner than later, we all finished, going back to billies car. she drove analy back to school to get her car and drove drew home.

surprisingly, drew was really nice. i don't know if it's all an act or not but she doesn't seem as bad as my brain made her out to be.

once billie dropped off drew, i sat up to direct billie over to my house, since she always 'forgets' the color of the house or the shape of it. i honestly think that's just her excuse to make me stay over at her house instead.

before i could even start directing, billie cut me off.

"stay at my house"

"i stayed over last weekend though"

"yeah i know. now come over again. my bed misses you". she turned to me and pouted. that same pout that she knew i couldn't resist.

"okay fine"

billie smiled and set the gps down before driving down her street. i realized that she has been driving in the direction of her house this whole time.

she never planned on taking me home huh?.

we got out in her drive way and walked inside. pepper came up to me and started licking all over my face.

"hi baby, hi!! did you miss me!" i coo'd, rubbing her belly.

"hey aaliyah!"

i looked up and saw finneas walking out of his room. i stood up and gave him a hug.

"i'm going over to claudia's house. mom went out" finneas told billie. she nodded and he grabbed his keys to his car and left.

i walked towards billies room and went to her closet while she was distracted with shark trying to run with her shoes.

i changed into one of her shorts and took one of her hoodies.

"aaliyah?" billie called out.

i stepped out of the closet, adjusting the hoodie on me. "yeah?"

"what are you- bro"

i looked at her with an innocent smile as she stared back with a straight face.

"you always take my clothes and then leave with them" billie said as she came towards me, wrapping her arms around my waist. i wrapped my own around her neck.

"well they smell like you"

she rolled her eyes and walked towards her bed, laying down and patting the space next to her for me to lay down too.

"come take a nap with me"

i sat on her bed and crawled over to her, laying my head on her chest. "your boobs are so comfy"

billie laughed and put her head down against mine. "i know".
