"thank you so much billie! i swear this won't happen so sudden again!"

i smiled and shook my head as i took Adelaide from her mother. "it's really no problem! i wasn't doing anything anyway".

"okay, thank you again! i'll be back for her in a couple hours!"

i nodded and said my goodbyes before closing the door behind her and turning my attention to the little blonde girl on my hip.

"billie!! billie!!" she called out, causing me to giggle.

"hey addy! miss me?"

"i miss you... this many!". she stretched her arms out wide til her chest poked out. i smiled and tickled her, causing her to laugh and squirm in my arms.

"jesus billie, why is it so hot in your room". i turned to see aaliyah walk out of my room, rubbing her tired eyes. she looked so beautiful, even with sleep marks across her cheeks and her satin bonnet secured over her hair.

she blinked a few times to adjust to the light before furrowing her eyebrows towards me. "did i miss a couple steps.. when did you have a baby?"

i chuckled and turned fully so i could walk towards her, "i didn't have a baby bozo, this is adelaide, my mom's friends daughter"

aaliyah hummed and looked over at addy, smiling instantly when she did.

"hi adelaide, I'm aaliyah"

addy smiled and her cheeks grew all red, "hi aaliyah!". we both laughed at how she pronounced it. saying "weyah" instead of "liyah". regardless though, it was cute.

"i'm gonna go brush my teeth but i'll be right back!" aaliyah told adelaide, receiving a nod from the little blonde girl.

aaliyah looked up at me and smiled before walking away.

i brought addy over to sit on the counter as i looked around the kitchen. "you hungry?". she nodded excitedly which made me smile.

"alright kiddo, what do you want?" i asked, although i wasn't quite sure what we even had in the kitchen.

addy looked around before gasping, looking back over at me with a wide smile. i chuckled nervously and walked back over to her, "what?"

"let's go to taco bell!" she screamed, throwing her hands up in the air. ever since she's been coming over here, i always get taco bell. now she's pretty much addicted just like me.

"you wanna go there or order it here?"

she put her finger under her chin and tilted her head up to look like she was thinking. "mmm, i wanna go there".

"no problem. lets wait for aaliyah first tho, okay?"

she nodded excitedly and a smiled, picking her up and taking her over to couch while we waited. and knowing aaliyah, we'd be waiting for a while.

i ran my fingers through my hair, trying to figure out if i wanted it parted to the side or center.

i looked at myself and tried to think of what billie would pick.

' i laid my head on billies lap as she leaned back on both her hands. we were cloud watching together after filling our stomachs with way too much fruit.

"that one is shaped like a spaceship." billie pointed out. i looked in the direction of her finger and tilted my head so i could see what she saw.
