Chapter 6

"Okay students, pens down." The teacher said.

It was time for your exams. Everyone was working hard, but you weren't. You were born with a photographic memory, meaning you could memorise anything by just glancing at it. (Author does not have one for real, just has a good memory)

"I think I did quite well!" Ace said.

"Me too!" Deuce added.

"Hah! Me three!" Grim cheered.

Strange. Those three usually cried over things like these, yet here they were now, so confident that they'd do well? That was suspicious.

"We'll get back our results soon, so let's just go relax till then." You said, walking out of the classroom.

A few days later

Finally the results came out.

"Yes! I got 84!"

"Awww man, I didn't do well....."

Cheers and cries were heard. Most surprising to you was that the idiot trio(Adeuce duo + Grim) had gotten over 80 for each paper.

"Huh!? N/N, you got 100 for everything!?" Ace shouted. Silence filled the classroom, before everyone collectively yelled in unison, "WHAT!!?"

"Is it that weird?" You looked at them curiously.

"It's just, Night Raven College's papers are supposedly really hard, even for first years, so for you to get full marks for everything-" one student who had gotten 80 tried to explained.

"Okay, then what about you? Last I checked you usually nearly failed, but suddenly you got 80, you can't seriously expect me to believe you miraculously got smarter over night. That goes to the rest of you who suddenly shot up in results." You cut off the boy.

"Uh, well-"

"But...."

"Whatever, the rankings are out, I'm gonna see." You walked out of the classroom, feeling a sense of Deja Vu when everyone was surprised you did well.

Soon, everyone gathered outside to see the rankings.

"Come on, where's my name? I got above 80 for everything, I should be in here!" Grim muttered.

"I'm not here!" Grim wailed in horror.

"Wait, I just realised, everyone Rank 30 and above got a perfect score!" Deuce shouted.

"Oh would you look at that, I'm first." You stared blackly as your name shimmered in gold ink at the top spot.

"No way!" Ace said, moving to see, and sure enough, there was your name in large gold letters.

"But since I didn't get into the top 50, I didn't fulfil my end of the contract!" Grim lamented.

"Wait, Grim, don't tell me you signed a contract with him too!" Deuce exclaimed. He tried to scold Grim but realised he too had done the same thing.

And then some strange anemone appeared on many students heads, dragging them towards some place.

"Should we follow them?" You asked.

"Yeah, we probably should." Yuu looked annoyed, seeing as he's been through so much shit already.

Jack decided to follow you.

You all went to Octavinelle dorm, or more Mostró Lounge.

There were at least a hundered students crowded in the room.

"What the hell?..." you muttered. Yuu, Jack and you hid behind one of the couches in the lounge.

You watched as Azul, Octavinelle's dorm leader proclaim himself as the students' new master due to failing to meet their end of a contract, which was to get into the top 50 of Azul gave them the notes he made. Seeing as there were over a hundred kids in there, it was clear that they were cheated. Suddenly, you saw one of the contracts lying on the ground. As you picked it up and read its contents, you got angry, at Azul for cheating people (in a way), and at everyone who signed the contract for being so stupid. You willed the stupid contract to just burst into flames, disappear into nothing, so that not even ashes would remain. Then, it did so. It exploded into a fire in your hand, not hurting you, and the ashes vanished. What the heck?
