Someone once told you, you don't remember where, that 'the world is a cruel place, you've seen that firsthand, so make sure you be cruel right back to them'
There were some times where you considered commuting mass genocide, but Grace always stopped you, she always had a calming, inviting presence.
Now you knew why. You and her, you weren't real people. And she was of course the one with light magic, pure magic. Yet you were the one with pure origins. She could make you feel happier, even when the world tried so hard to knock you down. You only ever darkened the already dark world.
Then destroy everything. Make everyone who has ever hurt you pay.
You're not other me. Fuck off.
But I can help you, just say the word and I'll-
No. That's final.
Once you found out your past, you realised that's why you always felt on edge, with your sanity. You were born of dark magic, meaning it's residue lingered within you. And with negative emotions, it could manifest as a being, a being that would feed you sweet words to let you put your guard down only for you to lose control. It made sense. Why you repelled others. It was that goddamn magic. I never should've existed in the first place.
That dream I had before, about that girl.... Was the at me?
"Hi! I'm Y/N, what's your name?" The h/c hair girl asked.
"You don't know me? Well, I'm Malleus Draconia ."
The boy replied. Now you could hear his name?"What are you doing?"
"Practising with a sword. Those boys won't let me practice with them because they say girls aren't allowed to fight." She huffed in annoyance. The boy looked at her sympathetically.
"Hey if you want, I can help you! I've practised using swords before, and I'm quite good at it." The boy offered. The girl jumped excitedly.
The scene changed.
Now it had been years since the boy and the girl met. They had grown and become good friends. The boy liked her more than he'd admit. Way too much to be honest.
He wished for her to be by his side forever. Sadly fate was a cruel thing.
"Y/N! Where are you?" The boy cried. He couldn't find the girl. She was missing. He went to her house. There were traces of powerful magic everywhere. Yet, as soon as he left the house, he forgot. Forgot why he was distressed, why he was crying, why he was even at that house in the first place? Strange. He felt a connection to the place, yet he could no longer remember it. What happened?
~
Your eyes widened remembering the memory fully. That was Malleus? You knew him?
~
"Lilia, this is Y/N!" A small boy shouted.
"Hello there." The man in question looked at the young girl next to the boy.
"Hello!" She greeted.
"She's awesome! She can do anything I can too!" The young boy boasted about his friend, making her flustered by the compliments.
"Eh!? Stop it! It's embarrassing......" she looked away shyly.

"Malleus? Why are you in this house? Hasn't it been abandoned for some time?"
"Eh? I don't remember for some reason..... this place feels so familiar, yet I can't remember why......" the young boy whispered.
