Chapter 12

You were so distant from your dorm mates. Ever since you had the dream, you hadn't been able to see them the same way again.

They didn't like it. They hated that you treated them with such animosity.

"Hey darling! Can you help me with-"

"Sorry! I promised I'd help Jamil with cooking for Scarabia!"

"N/N! Wanna cud-"

"Can't, Yuu says his dorm's plumbing system broke, I gotta go help him!"

Yeah, so you can see that you and them were further apart than ever before.

"How did she find out?" Silver asked.

"Maybe she had a dream? I hate that she's avoiding us now...." Lilia muttered.

You listened outside the door, not alerting them of your presence.

"Even if she does know, we're doing all of this for her! We're protecting her! It won't hurt her!" Sebek exclaimed.

"Maybe she's just in shock, she's a bit scared that we might hurt her..." Malleus suggested, trying to calm himself down.

You shook your head. It wasn't that. You didn't want them to be obsessive. You wanted them to be normal. Well act normal. Fae aren't exactly normal. (Except Silver who isn't a fae)

You walked away quickly, sighing softly to yourself.

"If only we had met in another life, where I didn't drink that stupid potion..." you had already asked Sam if there was a way to reverse the 'strawberry milk', but there wasn't. It was sort of permanent.

"VDC? What's that?" You asked Yuu, looking at the flyer in your hands.

"It's a competition, it's also kinda between us and RSA..." he smiles.

"RSA..... I've been having dreams about Grace being there..... maybe she really is....." you mutter, while Yuu stared at you with visible confusion.

"Who?" He asks.

"Nobody, you'll find out soon enough..."

While you never tried out for VDC, Crowley still dragged you into it by making you perform a solo act of singing. Great.

So there you were, stuck in Ramshackle with all the other VDC participants.

"You must look your best at all times!" Vil exclaims, showing everyone else good posture.

You grew bored so you just did what you were told.

"See! Even Y/N can do it!" Vil points at you, sitting comfortably in a corner.

"You didn't call her potato...." Ace mutters.

"Perfect posture....." Deuce stares into his lap.

Yuu giggled at the side watching them suffer.

Secretly, you enjoyed them suffering slightly, watching them struggle to do the simplest of things, honestly, you felt really bad for them.

Was what you would have said if you held empathy for people who you weren't that close to.

"Vil-senpai, can I go to my room first? I've been sitting here watching them struggle for an hour." You spoke politely and clearly, just to show off to the boys.

Vil agreed, saying you 'needed your beauty rest', while Ace stuck his tongue out at you, but was immediately caught by the sharp eyes of Rook.

You thanked Vil and walked off.
