Chpt. 3 "A New Mission"

*Butterfly estate 3 months after Tanjiro woke up*

              Kanao and Aoi sat on the porch of the butterfly mansion together looking out into the field watching Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke train. Tanjirou was pretty much fully recovered from his injuries and was doing basic sword swinging and breathing exercises while Inosuke and Zenitsu were sparring, though Inosuke was freaking Zenitsu out with just how aggressive he was being with his swings.

Zenitsu: "FOR THE LAST TIME EASE UP BOAR HEAD! YOU'RE GONNA KILL ME HERE!"

Inosuke: "No way! Ya gotta go full force or you're not getting stronger!"

Zenitsu: "THAT'S NOT HOW THAT WORKS DUMBASS!"

              Eventually Zenitsu found an opening Inosuke's techniques and tripped him up, causing Inosuke to fall to the floor and slam his head against the stone ground pretty hard, damn near knocking him out.

Aoi: "Oi! That's why you need to be careful idiot!"

             Aoi jumped off the porch and ran over to Inosuke and sitting him up so she could inspect his head while Zenitsu simply sat down by a tree to catch his breath. Kanao looked at the ordeal and chuckled a little before getting distracted by Tanjiro yelling.

Tanjiro: "Alright! I think I've got it! Hinokami Kagura: Waltz!"

                Tanjiro proceeded to use the Hinokami Kagura, producing beautiful flames around his sword as he swung it around in a manner that resembled a dance of some kind. Kanao watched as Tanjiro cycled through a few forms, entranced and admiring the beauty of the flames that engulfed and followed the sword around as it cut through the air. Kanao also watched Tanjiro himself, noting his technique as well as his fully focused face. Kanao's face blushed a little bit with just how enamored she was with watching Tanjiro perform the breathing techniques.

Kanao's thoughts: "Pretty..."

Shinobu: "Ara? What are you looking at Kanao?"

            Kanao jumped a little bit when she realized Shinobu had come right up and sit down next to her. 

Kanao: "Umm, I was watching them train. I had already completed my training for the day so I just decided to watch them."

Shinobu: "Hmm, it seems you were less "watching them" and more "watching Tanjiro"."

Kanao: "Huh?! I-I wasn't! Really!"

Shinobu: "*chuckle* It's okay Kanao. I don't blame you for getting caught up in appreciating him and his techniques. After all they really are a spectacle. It's so elegant yet so powerful. You can really see the passion in his eyes, can't you. Just as much as you can see the kindness and warmth. He's a good person. I just hope he'll find someone who'll make him just as happy as I'm sure he'll make them."

Shinobu looked back over at Kanao who had fallen back into her little trance and was staring at Tanjiro train with glistening eyes. Shinobu shook her head and poked Kanao in the shoulder to get her attention, causing Kanao to once again jump in surprise while her entire face went red.

"CAW CAW NEW MISSIONS! NEW MISSIONS!"

          Everyone stopped what they where doing and watched as a Crow flew down towards the mansion and landed next to Shinobu. 

Zenitsu: "Nooooo... why more missions?!"

Inosuke: "YAHA! TIME TO FIGHT SOME DEMONS! Monjuro, Monitsu! You guys think we'll get sent on another mission together?"

Tanjiro: "Who knows."

Crow: "CAW! Zenitsu and Inosuke are to head south to investigate a demon sighting 5 miles out from the wreckage of the redlight district"
