The Affair

12. 2 weeks later

It's been an overall 3 weeks since I haven't spoken to Avery or had an after school class. I feel horrible as a teacher and a person. I've blocked her out completely and I think she has noticed. She gives me weird looks in class and just the other day, when I had yard duty, she was standing and talking to this sub teacher and noticed me and gave me a look of sadness. She ignores me and doesn't even ask for help anymore. I feel as though I'm the reason for her dropped grades, well I am, but only because I'm correcting the right things. I can't give her points if the answers are wrong. I don't know what to do. It's like my whole world is falling apart.

Danny's POV:

I cannot wait for this week. I am actually going to Fiji... With Dylan! I'm so excited and yet so nervous. The kids will be staying with my mum and sister. Considering Alex has work during the week. We are going for 6 days and I will be very glad of the rest from life. Alex isn't happy with the idea though, well, I am lying about it and I know he isn't picking up on it, but I need this! He just doesn't understand me at all. I leave tomorrow and I haven't packed all my things yet. As I packed, Alex walked in.

'How long are you going for again?' He leant on the wall and watched me.

'A week, why?'

'Just asking... Who's going again?'

'Co workers of mine' I was very forward.

'Mmhmm. How exciting'

'What do you want Alex?'

'To talk to you? I want to talk to my wife... Is that a crime?' He chuckled.

'Seriously Alex, I don't need this right now'

'Need what? I'm just talking to you' his voice was calm and collective.

'Alex, you're irritating me' I was honest. He laughed.

'You... Are... Hilarious Danny. I mean, you yell when I don't talk, you yell when I do. You yell when I haven't done anything wrong, you yell when I do something nice for you.... Yell, yell, yell. You going to Fiji is a vacation for me babe!' He laughed again. What is he trying to do?

'You know what Alex? I'm so glad I have my work to go to and im glad you do to, because every time I look at you... I feel like I want to punch myself in the face!' He made a 'what the he'll' looking face. 'I don't care if that made no sense! Just let me pack'

Alex's POV:

Going to Fiji with her co workers. Sounds a little odd to me. She told me at the start of this week and when I started asking questions, she cracked it again. I cannot talk to this women! I just want to know, who, what, when, where and why. I am the husband, I deserve to know. These things are suppose to be talked about in a marriage. It pisses me off that she didn't want to go to Fiji with me, but she is willing to go with her co workers. Makes me wonder. This women hates me.

'I don't know what to do Maddie! I feel like the blocking him out thing has made everything worse! My grades are dropping!' I said as I had a spoon full of ice cream.

'Okay, honestly. Stop blocking him out! Go to a class, talk to him again. Ask how he is. Avery.... He likes you, okay, he likes you and you like him too. I'm not saying date him! I'm saying.... Connect with him' I get what she is saying, but he doesn't like me.

'Oh Maddie, he doesn't like me. As a student, yeah, probably, but he has a family and he is like 35!'

'Avery. A teacher doesn't talk to a student the way he does to you! Honestly, he cares for you more than Ryan cares for me!' Ryan is Maddie's boyfriend. They have been dating for 2 years already.
