''Oh, I believe we will, but I'm going to let you have your peace of mind for now.''

You laughed at his expression.

''Don't look so offended now.. and as for your question.'' he perked up at that.

''Would you like to be my boyfriend?''

''Fuck yeah.''

After this, you both had a quick date at the park. Nothing over the top, seeing that Shin just calmed down after that breakdown he had, you didn't want anything to overwhelm him like that again.

However your worries may have been unneeded as he was shining like the sun itself.

You still stand by your words, them being something of the lines 'Boys are freaking weird, but at least this one is cute.'

''Seriously Shin, how can you switch up so quick from a babbling mess to the freaking sun?'' you genuinely questioned, curious about the answer.

Shinichiro though, just stared sheepishly at you, not knowing what to say. His thought process went something like this:

''I mean who wouldn't be happy if they got together with a person leagues away from their own- but how do I say that without sounding pitiful, I don't want her to suddenly change her mind on dating me by seeing how hopeless I am-''

Yes people, Shinichiro is having another inner meltdown right now.

But he gathered all his wits and just spoke the truth.

''I'm just extremely happy that you gave me a chance, I feel like I'm on top of the moon right now out of happiness because I'm finally with you officially. I just can't help myself but be happy.'' you broke out into a smile at that.

God, he was precious.

''I'm happy too.''

''I'm glad.''

''Are you sure you want to do this this way?'' you quirked up a brow.

''Yes, I really want to do it this way.'' he nodded resolutely as you sighed. There was no stopping him when he got like this.

Okay, let me do a quick rewind and tell you how this came to be.

After a while of you just scrolling through the park with Shin, your hand intertwined, he suddenly came to a stop.

''What's up?''

''I just remembered!'' he exclaimed to himself, not answering you.

''What?'' you tried again.

''I need to show you off to Takeomi, Wakasa and Benkei! They never believed that you would date me but now I can prove them wrong!''

''Huh..'' you didn't know what to say to that exactly.

You, of course, have heard stories of his friends and know of them, you also know that they really like joking about his nonexistent till now love life, so you kind of get from where he is coming from with this, however...

''And how do you plan to even do that?''
