I Was Always There

I kept tossing and turning that night. I couldn't believe I saw P'Pha dropping my gift in front of my door. I"m so happy! I immediately called Ming and he kept asking me if it was actually him or was I imagining things? I kept rolling my eyes and told him that I didn't imagine him.

The next day we went to practice and I kept glancing at P'Pha the whole time.  He never glanced at me but I kept remembering what I saw last night.  I kept smiling to myself , but I felt a pair of eyes on me the whole time again but every time I looked around I never saw anyone looking at me.
"Awww Kitty looks pretty happy today," Ming said. I turned my head to see P'Kit smiling heavenly at P'Beam.
"I have never seen him that happy" Ming said again. "I wonder if something good happened to him".
"It must have been after we had dinner because he seemed normal after we got back".
"You had dinner with him last night?" Ming asked.
"Yea he watched me practice and then we grabbed dinner," I said. Ming stared at me for a bit and then looked again at P'Kit. He mumbled something to himself. I don't know if I heard him correctly but something along the lines "I give up".
  I continued looking at him until I went back to eating my lunch. I noticed a couple pair of shoes standing in front of me and I looked up to see P'Kit and P'Beam. They sat down with us while P'Kit handed me a bottle of water.
"This is for you" he said while looking away from me.
  "Thanks, Phi". I noticed P'Beam give him a knowing smirk while P'Kit glares at him. "Oh guess what Phi's!" They both turn towards me while I tell them " I saw P'Pha dropping a gift in front of my door," I said excitedly.
  P'Beam and P'Kit look at each other and I say continue talking. " He has to be my secret admirer!" I say happily.
P'Kit looks at me with what looks like sadness in his eyes and quickly gets up. P'Beam quickly goes after him after saying his goodbyes to us.
Ming looks at me and just shakes his head. I asked him why he was looking at me like that but just dismisses me.
For the rest of the time, P'Kit seemed to be frowning. "I wonder what happened?" I thought.
