Pink Waves, Soft Glances

Leni has been going around, talking and interacting with people for the whole day, heck it was a whole week, a goddamn month. Though as much as it was very tiring, it was also gratifying to see people cheer for her, root for her. Nothing can probably top the feeling of having thousands, millions of people support you.

Well, maybe nothing other the comfort of the person you love.

The way her eyes lit up when Risa finally came into her view, would agree. She couldn't take her eyes off her, even waving at her and trying to catch Risa's hand to hold.

Unfortunately for her, Risa just came up to her to gave her a short fist bump before moving to greet the others. In true clingy Leni fashion, her eyes just followed Risa and tried her luck to hold her hand again.

Alas, luck was not on her side that moment
Risa stayed standing next to her though, giving her a chance to talk to the woman who she has been missing so much.

"Ma, tabi tayo... Miss na kita" Leni whispered, just enough for Risa to hear, and pointed to the chair next to her.

"Ga si Gov tatabi sayo eh" Risa softly answered with a pout and mouthed back an "I miss you too"

Just as Leni was about to convince her that it would be okay, the Gov turned her back and greeted the senatorials, ruining the momentum Leni had, making her sigh deeply.

They took one more look at each other and Risa winked at her, before taking the a sit to the chair a seat apart from her. The small action made her laugh, she knew what it meant. It was Risa's way of saying see you later.

Good thing it was Chel who took the seat between them, that way they can still steal glances from each other.

"Dean, pasabi naman kay Ris sabay na siya sakin mamaya papunta sa hotel" Leni whispered to Chel and earned a laugh from him before passing the message to Risa.

She heard Risa audibly laugh and it made her pout. Was she finding her, making sweet gestures, funny?

"Ga, bat naman pinabulong mo pa kay dean eh pwede mo namang sabihin sakin na lang?" Risa said, leaning towards her.

"Oo, Ga... sabay na tayo mamaya" she continued and gave Leni a sweet eye smile. Leni, in return smiled back. She couldn't wait til' the event is over. She just wants to rest, enveloped in Risa's hug.

Leni's Van was parked at the farthest lot. She was already waiting for Risa to turn up because as always, Risa stayed on the stage, making sure everyone else went before her so no one would be left behind. She even got her assistant to call for her on stage twice.

When she was told that Risa was about to come already, she asked her assistant and driver to go first so she and Risa can be alone. They were trustworthy people, and they knew how much Leni trusted them.

"Pangga!!!" Risa excitedly shouted and ran to her, crashing into the arms of Leni. They stayed just like that, savoring every second that they have holding each other.

"I missed you so so much, Pangga ko" Risa told her tightening her hold to Leni, as if she never wants to let go. No, she really never wants to let go.

"I miss you too, Mahal" Leni answered, taking another whiff of Risa's scent. It might seem weird to some, but it gives her so much comfort... Risa's scent.

They can still faintly hear the performer singing on stage. Even with the sprinkles of the rain, there were still people who chose to stay and listen, some even helps in cleaning up.

"Tara na sa Van, Ga? Maulan pa onti... Baka magkasakit ka niyan, pagod pa naman" Risa told her, stroking her hair as she tried to let go of their hold.

Leni just tightened her hold of her

"Ayaw pa, Ma. Dito muna tayo, please? saglit lang" she requested and who is Risa to deny her? Leni is clingy, but it is rare for her to be this clingy in such an open space. So, she too, just held her as close to her as possible.

Risa started softly singing along to the song, slowly swaying both her and Leni.

Isayaw mo ako
Sa gitna ng ulan mahal ko

Leni couldn't help but chuckle at the way the song fits so much with the situation. She too went along with Risa

Kapalit man nito'y buhay ko

Leni snuggled her head to the crook of Risa's neck, cherishing this moment. It was right, if anything can top the feeling of having people support you... that thing can only be the feeling of comfort of being with the love of your life.

Gagawin ang lahat para sayo
Alam kong mahal mo na rin ako

Never in her life did she ever thought that she'll fall in love again. She already had love and for her it was enough but the heavens decided to insert one Ana Theresia in her life.

She never dared or will ever dare to compare the love she had and the love she has right now. She knows those are two completely different love and one cannot top the other. She's just thankful she got the chance to experience both in one lifetime.

She is nothing but thankful for the love she had but right now, she knows that this love... this love right now is something that she'll hold on to. Something that she'll protect with all her might. The love that Risa is giving her is so much more than what she deserves and she'll make sure she'll give Risa the same love... she'll work hard to even be able return half of it.

"Marry Me" She whispered

"Huh?" Risa pulled from the hold and gave her a questioning look

"Marry Me. You... Me... Let's get married, Risa" she firmly answered. She breathed and looked straight into Risa's eyes.

"After all this... After everything is settled, Let's get married. It doesn't have to be grand or big... It can just be the two of us. It doesn't matter, as long as it's with you, I'd get married even just by the sidewalk. I don't care what anyone else would think or would say, I love you and you love me and none of the rest of matters." She took Risa's hands and held it.

"Grow old with me, Risa"

Risa was stunned. Stunned to the point her eyes were in tears and she couldn't form any words. Between them, she never expected it would be Leni that would ask them to get married. She never even saw Leni loving her back, and it was already enough for her. She never considered marriage for them as respect for Leni, but right now... She is the happiest. Her Lips formed into a wide smile before clashing it to Leni's.

"I Love You too" she said as she put their foreheads together. "We're getting married, Ga"

"We are"

She pulled away and Looked at the teary eyes of Leni.

"I'd Love nothing else but to grow old with you, My Leonor"
