"Kamusta po kayo Pres?" Aica asks when she got a sight of Leni. It was the morning after the nightmare-filled sleep the President had. The president handed her a cup of coffee and gave her a soft smile.

"Okay na, Aica. Salamat ha? sa pag tawag kay Sen. Risa."

"Walang anuman po"

"Bakit mo pala naisip tawagan si Sen?"

"Ahhhh... naalala ko po kasi sabi niya nuong campaign pa, pag may kailangan ka po or need help, contact ko lang daw po siya" Aica answered

"Ay tsaka po pala diba Bestfriendsss po kayo" She continued teasingly, putting an emphasis on the words 'bestfriends' which caused the President to give her an eye roll.

After having their breakfast, they quickly start going through their agendas for the day. Aica was discussing their schedules but the President was too focused on her phone... yet a bit distracted at the same time?

"—By afternoon po we'll go back here to check naman yung necessities na kailangan ng bawat family po... Ma'am?"

"Ma'am, hello po? andito pa po ba kayo?" Aica asked jokingly and tapped Leni, who had her brows furrowed, to gain her attention.

"Ha? sorry ano yon?" Leni asked, still looking at her phone. This unattentiveness did not go unnoticed by her assistant.

"Goods lang po kayo Ma'am?"

"Ano... oo, si Sen. Risa kasi di pa ren nag rereply sa message ko kanina, nakakapag alala lang"

"Ay nako Ma'am baka po tulog pa at napuyat niyo ata kagabi. Dinaig pa ang spotify sa dami ng kinanta" She answered trying to lighten the president's mood.

"Baka nga... Sige tara't mag simula na tayo para marami tayong magawa ngayon"

They were now about to enter the village again after cheking the lands where the residents started planting and farming. They also visited the empty land where they are planning to build more houses to accomodate more residents.

Leni checked the time and it was already 3 in the afternoon. To say that she was a bit distracted the whole day is an understatement. She constantly checked her phone to see if her Senator had replied to the multiple messages she sent only to be disappointed every time.

It was unlikely for Risa not to reply to her. Yes, the signal wasn't in its very best condition, but it wasn't completely gone. She would've understood if it was, but considering there was still 1 bar in the signal icon in her phone, it just made her think.

"Anong meron don bat ang daming tao?" Asks one of the residents who came with them asked.

"Hala oo nga, tara bilisan na natin baka kung ano nangyare roon" Leni said with worry.

Soon they were just inches away from the crowd when she had a glimpse of a figure that made her stop on her tracks. When the crowd parted and revealed the figure, she didn't know what she was feeling. She was confused, shocked, excited and above all... She felt happy.

She saw her wave at her and almost immediately, she ran towards her and hugged her

"Hi My President" The woman whispered

"What are you doing here? How did you get here so fast? Kaya pala di ka nag rereply sakin!" Leni said excitedly, still enveloped in the hug. The view made everyone's heart melt and they started chanting ayies and awes, causing Leni to remember they were in public.
