Sunset Shore

Therese stood, basking at the sun that's about to take its rest for the day. She couldn't help but feel the nostalgia coming in. It's no wonder, it's the place after all. The place where it all started. The place that forever changed her life. The place where she met her.

Flashback to 5 years ago...

Therese is walking down along the beach. Tagging along to her sister's event was the worst decision she made because guess what? she is bored out of her wits.

She stopped on her tracks when she spotted a white hibiscus on the ground, picking it up and putting it on her ear. Looking up, she saw that the sun was still high up. Its sunlight weren't hot though, and she finds solace in all things sun, moon and stars.

*click*

A sound of a camera took her out of her trance. She turned around to see a smaller brunette holding her camera up.

"Hey!" Therese called her attention, but sadly failed.

"I said hey!"

"oh-hey...ako?" The woman asked, visibly confused.

"Yes, you. Did you just take my photo?" Therese didn't mean it to sound so... harsh, but her mind went blank when she caught sight of the woman's face. Pretty.

"Oh... no? medyo assuming ka no, Miss?" The other woman answered, obviously teasing her.

"Oh God... don't deny it. Kitang kita kaya kita!" She argued back.

"Excuse me. I was taking a photo of the sun. You were the one blocking the view" The other woman snickered.

Therese couldn't believe her ears, astonishment was completely written on her face. She was about to fight back when she heard Patricia.

"What's happening here?" She asked, one of her brows raised, looking back and forth at therese and the woman.

"She took my photo!"

"Pinagbibintangan niya ko!"

The two sang in chorus.

"Therese?" Patricia said with a disappointed look on her face.

"But Patty, she started it!" Therese huffed.

"Therese, mag sorry ka kay Leona" Therese looked at her with shocked and took one deep sigh before murmiring a sorry to Leona and turning her back to walk away.

Later that afternoon, Therese was back at the shore. She found herself sitting at a log as she marvels at the sight of the sunset.

"Hey..." She heard someone call. She could recognize the voice, it was Leona.

"I just wanna say sorry for earlier... I got you into trouble ata?" Leona timidly asks, scratching the back of her neck in the process.

"Well... technically yes, and you didn't even admit to taking it!" Therese answered, finally turning to her.

"Hey! In my defense, ang ganda kaya nung momet. A very great scene. And look, it's even greater because I captured it" Leona says as she sits down and moves to show her the photo...really close.

Therese suddenly felt intoxicated with Leon's smell. Her stomach was doing someraults as she looks at Leona. God what am I feeling?

"See! It really captures the beauty of the sun... and yours" Leona continued and looked up, now meeting Therese's eyes.

A moment of silence for their rapidly, beating hearts.

It was Therese who turned to look away first.

"Edi kinuhanan mo nga ako!" She said jokingly, attempting to remove whatever bubble that captured them.
