Yoon Ji-Hoo

Yoon Ji-Hoo's fingers frustratingly moved through his canvas, his jaw locked into a place and his eyes stared hard at the canvas in front of him. Letting out a frustrating sound, Ji-hoo threw the pencil against a wall and ripped the canvas into pieces, throwing it among already compiling hill of canvas. He eyed the pile angrily, hoping it would just disappear automatically.

With no avail, he got up from the seat in his studio and walked towards the balcony to get some fresh air. He ran his finger through his hair, moving it away from his forehead and exposing it, hoping some air will calm his head down. He didn't know why he was so frustrated to the point he couldn't draw anything. He thought he was back into the habit of sketching when he had sketched that image of Kang Nari earlier but now that he tried sketching something else again, nothing worked out.

He blamed it on his unbalanced emotions in that moment. But why was it that he was feeling uneasy? He didn't know.

Well, it was more like he had a few ideas but couldn't pin-point an exact reason. It was almost as if everything was coming crashing down on him all at once.

The death of his parents, his grandfather practically abandoning him, Seo-Hyun leaving for Paris, the feeling of constant loneliness that always surrounded him, the stupid game of red card, Jun-Pyo being stubborn, this new girl at Shinhwa, and even Kang Nari. Everything was crashing down on him, and he felt out of control. He glared at the trees and flowers blooming in his yard as if they, too, had somehow managed to offend him.

Yoon Ji-hoo thought he had learned to manage his emotions, more like hide it, but he thought he had it all under control. So why was it that he was having a breakdown right now? What exactly was it that ticked him off?

He closed his eyes shut and took deep, calming breaths, trying to inhale the scent of flowers around him, hoping it would calm him down.

Ji-hoo had ran into another girl on the rooftop. She was yelling her frustrations out at Jun-Pyo, even pronouncing his name wrong. At first, Ji-hoo almost found himself wishing it was Kang Nari but knowing the timid girl, she could never muster of the courage to yell so, especially not publicly. Turned out, it was Geum Jandi, the scholarship student. He briefly remembered her from a few days ago when she had asked for the directions to the swimming pool.

Ji-hoo admired her. He admired her courage to stand up for what she believed in, to say what was in her mind without caring about how words may be received. He admired her persistence. It reminded him a lot of Gu Jun-Pyo. He wasn't sure whether that was a good thing, but he supposed as long as her persistence was channeled towards something good, she should be fine.
