The following afternoon, Serafina was standing in the elaborate ballroom of Windsor Castle with her fellow chosen young ladies. All three of them were wearing identical gowns that consisted of a sweetheart neckline with cap sleeves and a small train. Each gown also had a corset back. Her companions, both of whom had dark hair, with one of them having brown eyes and the other having hazel eyes, had gowns of pink and green.

Serafina was wearing dusty blue, which complemented her blonde curls and blue green eyes. She, like the two of them, was anxiously waiting for prince Alexander to step through the double doors at the top of the staircase. She had no idea what he was going to look like, or how he was going to act. She was simply hoping that he was going to be a gentleman. Hearing one of the girls clear her throat, she turned her head and found the girl with brown hair and hazel eyes looking at her.

Kate. "What do you think he's going to be like, the prince?"

The other dark-haired girl, Lucy, smiled. "I think he's going to be handsome. Maybe even skilled with horseback riding and archery."

Serafina smiled softly at the two of them. "I'm hoping he's going to be a gentleman, kind and caring. Although, I'm sure he's just as nervous as we are."

Kate rolled her eyes. "I don't believe he's going to be nervous at all. He's been preparing since the day he was born for this exact moment."

Lucy giggled, and then became serious. "I'm praying that he makes the right choice for his future queen."

Serafina fell silent at that remark, not wanting to get involved with either of them. She was hoping for the same thing, but more humbly than Lucy and Kate. Her eyes traveled around the large ballroom, taking in the numerous tall glass windows and large gold marble pillars. The castle was magnificent, and would become occupied by either her or the other two young ladies by the end of the month.

At that moment, all three of their heads snapped around as George Hamilton stepped into the ballroom. He cleared his throat before addressing them. "Your Royal highness is, I am pleased to see all three of you here safe and sound. It's time for the three of you to meet his Royal highness, Prince Alexander."

Serafina Lucy and Kate held their breath as they waited for Alexander to step through those same doors. Several questions cascaded through their heads. What was he going to be like? Was he going to be handsome? Strong and powerful? Was he going to be generous? Was he going to have a sense of humor? No one had any idea.

George raised his voice so that it echoed throughout the room. "Ladies, may I present his royal highness Prince Alexander of the house of Windsor!"

Serafina watched with bated breath as the doors open once again, and her heart nearly melted as she saw Alexander step through. Ever since receiving the letter, she had visualized the prince to the best of her ability, trying to form an image of him in her mind. But none of those images compared to what his true appearance was.

Alexander was a vision of beauty. He was tall, a few inches taller than Serafina was, with curly dark brown hair and rich dark blue eyes. He was wearing a three-piece suit of royal blue silk with a cream button up shirt and matching cravat. His feet were encased in black leather boots. He was muscular, that was evident by how broad his shoulders were. He was magnificent.

George cleared his throat again. "Your highness, may I present your three selected young ladies. 17 year old princess Kate of the House of Stuart, 19-year-old Princess Luci of the house of Howard, and 18 year old Princess Serafina of the house of York."

Alexander exchanged a bow and a curtsy with each of them, his eyes going from one young lady to the next. When they fell on Serafina, he felt his body begin to burn. She was an angel, pure perfection. At that moment, he knew he was going to be in for quite the treat. He smiled at them before clearing his throat. "Welcome to Windsor castle ladies, I'm looking forward to getting to know all three of you."
