7 Years After Incident
"7 years ago, today, my sister died." Harry says sitting down beside Jessica's grave. Everyone took the week off for this moment.
"It was by far the worst day of my life." He says. Niall, Liam, Louis and Zayn sit down around the grave as well.
"You know, it really didn't hit me. Until the funeral." Louis says. "I didn't believe that she was gone until I walked up to her casket." Jessica's entire grave was covered in flowers and cards.
"It hit me as soon as it happened." Harry starts. "It was my fault. I could have found a loophole around the situation. I wasn't thinking. I just wanted it to end."
"How do you think I feel?" Louis says. "Most of the research that I did was a complete lie and a waste of time. I basically did nothing to help."
"I didn't know anything over half of the time. I didn't know how to help. You did more than I did." Liam states.
"Quit feeling sorry for yourselves." Zayn says. "This was seven years ago. We weren't suppose to move on as quickly as we did. We just went to her funeral and never spoke about her."
"What are you trying to say?" Niall says. His jaw tightened.
"I'm trying to say that if you guys were going to be like this, you should have done it seven years ago." He concludes.
"He's right." Harry mumbles.
"Like Zayn said. Quit feeling sorry for yourselves." A voice says from a distance.
"What was that?"
"Who said that?"
"Great, we have a stalker."
"I'm not a stallker. How rude."
"To the boys, the voice sounded so familiar. They thought it was someone that they worked with. Or a family member.
A twig cracked. All of their heads turned to that direction.
"Jumpy much?" A voice says coming from behind them.
They all turn around to face the person that interrupted their mourning.
In front of them stood a tall girl. She had chestnut brown hair and big green eyes. She had a perfect figure. She wore an over sized sweater with black leggings. She smiled at them. She had deep dimples.
"Jess!" Harry said immediately standing up and running up to her. He engulfed her into a big hug, not wanting to let go of her.
"I'm so sorry." He starts. He wanted to take advantage of this time to say what has been traumatizing him for the past 7 years. "I didn't know what was going on in my head. It's all my fault. You should still be here."
"Your squeezing me too hard." She says. He lets go and places his hands on her shoulders.
"Is that really you?" Louis says standing up and walking over to her. Everyone else followed.
"Of course!" She says excitedly.
" B-But I saw you- I watched you die! I saw your b-body in that casket! I watched you get buried!" Niall exclaimed.
"Yeah. You did. Apparently there's some loophole that protects the Osirians and Chosen ones that help Sinkara." She says sparing them the details.
Everyone takes there turn hugging Jessica and explaining how it was their fault and everything that they have been through without her. She looked over to Niall. He was the last one to talk to.
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything but I would like in on the action. Jessie always gets hugs." A shadow quickly emerges from the darkness.
"Oli!" Louis cheers and jogs over to him.
"You couldn't have waited another 2 minutes, huh Oliver?" His mom follows behind. Harry, Liam, and Zayn follow Louis, which left Niall and Jessica by themselves.
"You came back." He says after the others were out of earshot.
"It took a minute but I did." She says awkwardly laughing.
"I was a wreck without you." he says.
"As was I."
They sit in a comfortable silence for a few minutes.
"So is it over?" Jess asks.
"I hope so." He sighs.
"That's good." She says smiling.
"Yeah."
"No, It's wonderful."
"I know." He says smiling back at her.
"Do you know why?"
"Why?"
"Because you can finally take me on that date."
