"Hey."

Ruby jumped as she exited the club out the back door after her shift. She turned to see Chris grinning at her, "the fuck!" She hit him in the chest, "you can't be sneaking up on girls in the middle of the night Evans! Especially when you have their number."

He laughed as he watched her rest her hand over her chest, catching her breath. "I'm sorry I scared you Amelia. I wanted to see you. I leave tomorrow afternoon."

She began to walk to her car, "I'm kinda tired Chris. The other day was fun, but it isn't really a normal occurrence for me." She leaned against the driver's side door of her car, looking at him. "But I couldn't pass up the chance to sleep with Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan."

Chris laughed, "well yeah. And you're going to pass up on it now?" He saw her smirk, "I just want to get to know you Amelia. Talk? Can I buy you something to eat? Are you hungry?"

She sighed, "I am hungry...."

He smiled, "there's a diner around the corner that's open 24 hours."

She nodded, "okay fine. And Chris.."

"Yeah?"

She blushed, "my name is Evelyn."

He laughed, "why did you say Amelia?"

She shrugged, "because Evelyn? It's an old lady name."

He shook his head, "I like it. Come on."

She sighed, following him to the mostly empty diner. They chose a curved booth in the back corner. She slid into the booth as he slid in next to her. "Evelyn Banks."

He smiled, holding his hand out to her, "Chris Evans."

She laughed, shaking his hand. "What am I doing here?"

He shrugged, "you said you were hungry Evie."

She rolled her eyes as the waitress came up to them. "Can I have a sprite and a burger and fries."

Chris smiled, "same is fine. Thanks."

"You make it a normal habit to take strippers out for food?"

He laughed, shaking his head, "no. Of course not. But especially after the other night, I knew I had to know you. And this could be my last chance."

She nodded, "because you'll never be in Atlanta again?"

"Well I will be back. I'm leaving for a few weeks to shoot something else. Anyways. I wanted to know more about you. How old are you Evie?"

"Just found out my name and you're already stuck on Evie?"

He laughed, "you intentionally stubborn or is it just your permanent setting?"

She laughed, accepting her drink from the waitress before looking back at Chris, "permanent setting. And I'm 27. I started dancing to put myself through nursing school. I continue because I make good money doing it. So I work doing this on the weekends and work part time as a hospice nurse during the week, picking up extra shifts at the club when I want."

He watched her as they received their food, "okay. So you're a nurse and a dancer? I think that's amazing. Where do you find the energy?"

She shrugged, "drugs." She watched him stare at her before she laughed, "I'm kidding Evans. I run on coffee, whiskey and cheeseburgers. So, thank you." She held up her burger before taking a big bite, making him laugh. "I have a nursing shift today. Normally I would be at home asleep by now. So you owe me coffee too before you go on your merry way."

He nodded, "anything you want Evie."

"So, what about you Evans. Sure I could google you, but where's the fun in that... How old are you?"

"I'm 36. What do you want to know about me Evie?"

She shrugged, "everything and anything so I can go to all the press magazines in town."

He laughed, "you are something else."

She giggled, "you never asked me to sign an NDA the other day. I was surprised. I thought that was maybe why you showed up tonight."

"That was probably stupid on our part. But we had other things on our minds. I can trust you, right Evie?" He picked up a fry, smirking as he ate it.

She shrugged, "I guess you'll have to find out, huh?"

"Hmm. I guess so. Can I see you again? When I come back into town. Outside of the club."

She smiled at his blush, "are you asking me on a date Evans?"

He nodded, "I'm trying to. Not very well it seems though. Can I take you out on a proper date when I get back into town in a month?"

She shrugged, "guess we'll find out when you get back."

He smiled, "fair enough. You from here? Family?"

She sighed, "yes. And doesn't everyone have a family they came from?"

He nodded, seeing she didn't want to talk about it. "Okay. I'm from Boston. My family all live there still. I have an older sister, a younger sister and a younger brother. Parents aren't together anymore."

She smiled when the waitress came back, "can I have some apple pie?"

The waitress nodded, looking at Chris as he grinned.

"I'm good. Just whatever she wants." He looked back at Evelyn, "pie too? Where do you put this food?"

She shrugged, "I work out a lot. I have to to stay looking like this. You get up on the pole and swing yourself around."

He laughed, "good point."

She shook her head, "no really. I'd pay money to see that Chris." She smiled as he laughed again, bringing his hand to his chest as she received her pie. She moved closer to him, feeding him a bite before taking her own. "Thanks for feeding me."

He nodded, "yeah. Of course. I'm just glad you agreed to hang out with me."

She shrugged, "not going to pass up Chris Evans offering to buy me late night dinner. Or early morning breakfast. Not really sure what the meal is called between midnight and 6am."

He laughed, "I don't know."

She nodded, "so. What's your biggest fear Chris."

"Spiders."

"No." She shook her head, "that's a phobia. What's your biggest fear. The one thing you don't want to ever happen."

He sighed, thinking about it. "I don't know. Being a disappointment. I have a big fear I'm never good enough."

"Really? Chris Evans, America's boyfriend doesn't think he's good enough?"

He shrugged, "yeah. We all have insecurities Evie. Don't you?"

"Oh yeah. Lots."

He chuckled, nodding, "what's your biggest fear?"

She sighed, "maybe another time. I need to get home."

He nodded, "sure. I'll pay the ticket and walk you back to your car."

"Okay." She stood up with him, going outside to wait. She felt him grab her hand when he came back out. She looked from his hand up to him to see him smiling. "Okay then."

He laughed, walking her back to her car, "can I kiss you goodnight Evie?"

She giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck, "we've had sex Chris. I think we're past asking."

He nodded, "yeah. But that was before."

She smiled, leaning in to kiss him as she heard him moan, gripping her waist as he pulled her body flush to his. "Thank you Chris. For everything."

He smiled, "you're welcome. I'll call you? While I'm gone?"

She nodded, "please do." She smiled as she watched him walk away as she got in her car.
