Y/n POV

It's been a week since we brutally killed my ex, which I'm still very pleased about, but something changed between me and Lucky. After he gave me my ex's heart, things have been more... awkward. I tried to talk to Hangry about it, but he just said Lucky was always like that.

Throughout the week, Lucky would otherwise ignore me or make little to no conversation with me. I would still catch him glancing at me from time to time, but he always turned away as if nothing happened. I started to think of all the things I could've done wrong. Of course you did something wrong, your phscotic for fucks sake!

I was getting my usual organs when a buzzing started in my head. I soon changed into my death angel form, looking around for the red outline of the mortal. I found them outside and started to observe them. Tall.. black hair.. blue eyes.... male. What was it with Bierce and male mortals? Was I the only female? No wait, she told me about another girl, nevermind.

As he went up towards the gate, I jumped down infront of him to take a closer look at his face. His eyes were filled with shock as a swirl of fear filled the rest. Perfect..

His face looked quiet defined, not bad, if I was alive I would atleast like him. I grabbed his chin and moved it from side to side to get a better view of his face when he pushed my hands away.

"Got some guts in you? Interesting... let's see if we can spill some.."

I blew a sarcastic kiss as always before teleporting to the maze to wait out the agonizingly long monologue Lucky always says.

Lucky's POV

My ears perked at the sound of footsteps so I go outside to find the new mortal. I watch as he walks towards the gate, only to be stopped by Y/n. How can she look so graceful all the time.. Gah! Stop thinkin bout that shit.

I watched as she got closer to the mortal and grabbed his chin, moving it around. My 'fur' started to boil as my fists got into a tight ball. What was she doing with that.. that mortal?! I watched as he took her hands off him and backed away a little. He should be lucky that he even got to feel her touch..

I tried to strain my ears to listen to what y/n was saying when I heard thundering footsteps behind me. I slowly look around and to no one's surprise, found Penny and Hangry right behind me.

"Should we get in place Lucky? I mean, you didn't give the order, and you've been staring quietly for a while n-"

"Can you ever learn to shut up?! Of course you should be in your places! For Malak's sake its like I'm the only sens-"

I turn back around just in time to see Y/n blow a kiss to the mortal before teleporting off, presumingly to the maze. I stared in shock as I felt a weight drop my stomach into the floor. Did... did you really just do that.. to a MORTAL?! My eyes glazed over with anger as I punched the nearest wall, unknowingly beside Penny's head.

"L-Lucky calm down-!"

"Shut it chicken tenders! You and I both know you don't have any good shit to say so shut your fat beak up!"

I grabbed my ears in frustration and pulled them down harshly. I racked my brain with thoughts of Y/n and that mortal being close to each other.. it was SICKENING.

What does that mortal have, that I don't?! I have the highest status, I can have Malak here at the snap of my fingers, and that mortal can just waltz in and take her?! We have so much in common..  I can't lose her.. That white trash of a mortal has got to go.
