Chapter 9: texts

-adriens POV-

I can't believe this is actually happening! I don't know what went through me. I just thought about never seeing m'lady anymore and I well...kissed her. It felt amazing! Her soft lips on mine, it was like time slowed down and instead of the kiss lasting a couple seconds it lasted for hours, days, years even! Mari's face was as red as a tomato when we pulled away from each other, it took everything in me to not let out a chuckle. I stared into her eyes and took in everything that was happening. We stood there for at least 5 minutes until mari got a text on her phone. When she looked at the text her eyes widened and filled with tears. She backed away from me with wide eyes and ran. The girls I saw earlier (Miami and jelly I think) ran after her screaming her name.

I stared straight ahead trying to comprehend what had just happened. Everything was perfect, what changed?!? Whoever messaged her is going to get it if I ever find them. My knees started shaking and I crumbled to the floor. A few students who saw everything go down were whispering and pointing at me. I didn't care, I just wanted to know if mari was okay. "Please don't go m'lady" I whispered.

-Ellies POV-

As me and Kami watched the two lovebirds I whipped my phone out and started recording the scene. "Send that to me." Kami muttered. I was rather jealous that mari could so easily get a man since I've been a single Pringle my entire life. I swear the scene folding out in front of me was a deleted scene from titanic or something.

After what seemed like forever they FINALLY stopped looking into each other's eyes and realized that they were in public. Then I saw mari check her phone and start running. What is up with that girl?!? When me and Kami were running after mari she accidentally dropped her phone but she didn't even notice! Cinderella much?!? I grabbed her phone and was relived when I saw that it was still unlocked. I squinted at the phone and saw a picture of mari and that boy kissing and under that it said,

"Last chance I promise. We are gonna have to have new rules don't you think? You are to immediately leave New York and go somewhere further, you have to fully change your identity, and also no more ladybug. Give it to the master dude or something. See you bestie <3

I stared at the text in shock, after I thought about for around 2 seconds I ran to the computer genius, Ella. Luckily we are friends so I had no problem breaking down the door and screaming "I NEED A TRACKER LIKE, NOW!" All Ella did was stare at me "Woah, slow down girl. You need a tracker right? Well coming right up! Your lucky I made some test trackers this morning! Explain all this to me later." She said calmly. I grabbed a tracker and ran to my dorm. I have never been more grateful that I drank a billion cups of coffee because dang I was fast!

I burst open my dorm room to see Kami trying to comfort mari who was crying in the floor. I ran to her gave her a huge hug. While doing so I slipped the tracker into her shirt. (I know I'm a super spy genius!) After a couple minutes mari bolted up and started throwing stuff back into her suitcase. "Where are you going?!?" Kami yelled looking incredibly alarmed (not that I can blame her.) mari just ignored her and zipped up her suitcase. "Tikki, spots on!" She yelled. All of a sudden this pink light covered mari and she appeared wearing the iconic ladybug outfit. Most people that aren't in Paris don't know that much about her but I had to do a project about her so I know EVERYTHING, she's kinda like New York superhero's to be honest. She then said "I'm sorry. Tell Adrien I love him." And she jumped out the window.

"What the heck?!?" Kami yelled. I stayed silent and thought about the texts I saw earlier. "Kami come with me!" I said as I dragged her outside of the dorm. I ran to Ella's dorm as Kami trailed behind me. I bashed open the door and handed Ella the phone. "I need you to find the location of who sent this!" I quickly said and ran out again leaving Kami in confusion.

I managed to find that Adrien guy on a bench curled up in a ball. He saw me coming and sat upright with a hopeful smile. I sat next to the blonde and started talking "she transformed and left with all of her things.. I don't know where she is going....I'm sorry Adrien. She did say for me to say something to you. She said she loved you." Adrien stared at me with tears filling up his eyes. "This is all my fault! I can't lose her again!" He sobbed. Unfortunately sympathy is a Kami thing not an Ellie thing so I just awkwardly pat his back. "Go find your lady. We will be here if you need help." I said quietly.

I then walked- no basically ran back to Ella's room. "I found the address and the person who sent the text." Ella said. I looked at her expectingly and soon enough she started "the location is Paris and the persons home address is #####. Her name is lila Rossi and apparently she is a known liar across other countries. "Time the do some digging" I sighed and sat down.
