Chapter 19

Friendly reminder that Melanie is Marinette and Alissa is alix :D

-Alix's POV-

After the call ended I exited the apartment I was renting and went to go get breakfast with Marinette. The place we are meeting up at is a breakfast place called Bea Bea's.

When I got to the restaurant I gasped as I saw Marinette silently crying on a bench near the entrance with her head between her legs. I ran over and tried to calm her down.

"Are you okay?!? Melanie can you hear me?!" I said in panic. Marinette shot up in panic and looked terrified until she realized it was me talking to her. "OH MY GOD I AM SO SORRY ALISSA, IGOT HERE EARLY AND MUST HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP!!!! IM SO SORRY IF I MADE YOU WORRY!" She said in panic. I laughed slightly and smiled. "It's totally okay, I just thought you were crying so I panicked. Shall we go inside?" I said trying to reassure Mari.

Marinette smiled and pulled me into the restaurant. After we got seated and placed our orders I started to try and make small talk. "So, how are you feeling about your job interview on Friday? I heard that the Agreste company and Bella's company have the possibility of working together again so maybe we will see each other during work? Since I have to speak to Mr. Agreste and His assistant personally to get the fabrics he needs I also got to meet Adrien Agreste, do you know him? He is a pretty famous model in Paris." I said trying to get Marinette to spill something.

I noticed that Mari had to pause and think about what she was going to say. "Thats so cool!If i get this job, It would be so cool to meet Mr Agreste and his s-son! I used to be a big fan of Gabriel's designs so I am pretty familiar with Adrien Agreste. I am still working on what I am going to show Bella for her to possibly hire me but I'm thinking something historical like an old fashioned ball gown. The only problem is I'm out of money and am living in a motel right now so I don't know how I would have the time to create it. Hopefully she will accept a very detailed sketch. Marinette said.

I was pretty surprised on how calm she was, it still hurts to see her act like she doesn't even know Adrien. They are both obviously so in love with each other.

"Why don't you live with me until you can get back on your feet? I also have a bunch of fabric you can use that Gabriel didn't want!" I said trying to sound casual.

"W-Wait Really?" Marinette said surprised. I just smiled and nodded knowing that this way I can keep an eye on her more and see how she is doing. "You can move in today! I cleaned the apartment the other day and it can definitely fit two people!" I said excitedly.

"Thank you so much Alissa!!! I haven't even known you for 2 days and you are being so nice to me. It is really a breath of fresh air since I have been struggling recently." Mari said getting up.

I also got up after leaving a 50 dollar bill to cover our meals and enough for a semi generous tip. Me and Marinette walked together to the motel and she quickly grabbed her backpack with her things and we made our way to my apartment.
