"So I saw you and 7 made an alliance."
I about choked on the water I was drinking when Brutus said that. I coughed a couple times getting the liquid out of the wrong pipe.
"No, no, more like made a promise. Still no real alliances, partial maybe but I am still a lone wolf here."
Brutus looked at me confused.
"That isn't what Blight was telling me."
I rolled my eyes. More stupid Victors. Blight was the Victor from the 46th Hunger Games. He like many others of District 7 won with a hatchet. He killed most of the other tributes in their sleep. A cowards move
"Well I am telling you that isn't what happened. Jane asked me a question about being a non-career but a career. I answered them. She made a comment so I tapped into my sentimental side and made her promise to look out for her brother. I made a partial alliance to warn her of dangers. Meaning things I may have encountered if we cross paths. I never said I would warn her of my dangers."
Brutus smirked and started to laugh.
"That is a bit cold Kit."
I smiled.
"I said partial alliance. If it was a full one I would make the same deal I made with the careers. We cross paths. We don't kill or hurt each other. The only one who hasn't taken that deal was Thia."
Brutus took another bite from his food.
"Really, that is a bit strange."
Ebinora laughed.
"Trust me with distinct 1, it really isn't that strange. Thia is intimidated by Kit. So why would she make a deal to prevent her from taking down competition. The deal also protects Kit until the last two."
I smiled. See Ebinaora got it. Borris looked at me shocked.
"Wait, does that mean..."
"...when we made the first deal and I still didn't like you I was using you, yes, yes it does. The second deal I made with you is a full alliance not a partial. I have your back if you have mine. If I catch sight of you, I will make sure to aid you."
Borris seemed to let out a sigh of relief when I said that. Well at least I knew he genuinely cared. I ate the remaining of my dinner and walked over to the small table that had the three stolen throwing knives placed on it. I picked one up practice a few tosses before quickly turning and throwing the knife at the pig on the table. The group of people jumped.
"Where are your manners!?"
I chuckled at Dallas as he lashed out at my behavior.
"I don't have many."
I walked over and tugged the knife out of the pig.
"I was also not aiming at you so be thankful."
Dallas glared at me and mumbled under his breath. I smirked.
"Dallas, would you like to share your commentary with the class."
Out the corner of my I could see Borris trying to hold back a laugh.
"No."
"No? Well where are your manners?"
Borris couldn't stop himself from busting out laughing. Dallas whipped his hands and anger my stomped down to his room. I started laughing and soon our mentors joined in on the fun.
