The next few days of training went by quickly. I didn't make any more friends. Much to my mentors dislike. They knew I planned on going in alone. They knew I was planning and they didn't like that they didn't know the plan. Borris talked out everything, it was normal to have District 1 in our lounge area, talking out the plan for the games that were now only a few days away. Also only a few days away for me to be 14. It was sick but the night of our interview I would no longer be 13. I would be 14. I will still be the youngest tribute to enter this year. Also the shortest much to my displeasure.
"So what is the plan again?"
I walked into the lounge seeing the group of mentors and tributes from one and two clustered together on the couches. Gloss was asking the group questions making sure they had their plan down to a T.
"We rush in and grab the weapons. We are all faster then the other tributes so it should be easy for us to gather supplies. Also if we would run into any tributes with no weapons we still know hand to hand to kill them. From there we kill until the cornucopia is ours. From there we will pick supplies and head out to survey our surroundings."
Typical, they were all planning on going for the blood bath. I would imagine the siblings and maybe the boy from 4 would be the ones successful in the blood bath. I quietly leaned against the wall as my presents was still unknown.
"Who are the biggest threats?"
"Kit, Jane, Dawson and the two tributes from 4."
I rose a brow surprised to hear my name brought up. Not surprised it came from Thia though.
"Hold up Thia, because Kit is going off on her own doesn't mean she is a threat. She is still an ally."
"To you two boys, yes but I didn't take her deal."
"You still could you know."
The group all turned at the sound of my voice. I pushed off the wall.
"I mean you take the deal then I don't have to kill you if I come across your group and saying that I have analyzed the way you fight everyday for the past week...you wouldn't last long anyways."
Thia's face started turning red with anger. She went to get up to attack me but Egger put a hand on her shoulder preventing her from getting very far.
"She is only pushing your buttons."
Egger was right and it was too much fun.
"Either way I am still not taking the deal. If she runs into our group I still have Borris and You on my side more then hers."
I rolled my eyes and took a seat by Ebinora.
"They won't attack me if I don't attack them, that is the deal, they back out..."
I smiled darkly.
"...it is all fair game."
Ebinora put a hand on my shoulder to calm me down. My voice was strangely calm and she knew when that happened, one word, one action and I would be seeing red. I would get into the zone of calm and there would be little to nothing they could do to stop me. Brutus cleared his throat to break the tense silence. Gloss smiled over at me and pointed at me.
"You know for her not being a volunteer, she has some fire in her. I like her."
I smiled and leaned back.
"If she was older she probably would have been the volunteer but she has made enough enemies in the academy that when her name was called their promise was going to be kept."
I glared at Brutus. It isn't my fault that they were petty. I always minded my business, they were the ones always butting into mine. Ebinora once again put a calming hand on my shoulder, seeing myself getting tense. I was glaring holes into Thia's head at the moment. If we ever met in the games, I would make sure she dies quickly. She may have a small talent with some pointy objects but anything is a weapon of you know how to use it right. My dad taught me that. If you could find the right tools then you could use anything to kill someone. It was probably wrong of him to teach Cato and I fighting at a young age, but with the world we live in...not so much. Example on why is where I am today. I probably wouldn't be as skilled as what I am if it wasn't for him. I stood up and walked to the table picking up an apple. I took a bite out of it. I was nervous. Tomorrow would be a day full of training. Training in walking in heals. More like torture of you ask me. Heals honestly are going to be the death of me.
