Chapter 2: Engagement

His eyes were golden-red colour bright with light opposite from how he looked when he appeared. His hair was long that it reached his shoulders and his bangs were loose falling over his forehead. His smile was charming.

Your face turned red when seeing him. He was wearing a pair of hakama pants and a shirt over them his haori was hooked.

Your face was calm as it should be. You sat behind your father who was strictly telling him of Ruka, and the clan rules. You hoped that nothing would go wrong after getting into the marriage you knew was arranged.

What would Ruka feel?

What would’ve she done after she found out she was getting married off to a random man?

Was she calm or did she yell? Did she feel insulted? But judging what the man said during breakfast ‘and Ruka, better be nice to the Rengoku when you go to visit later.

You guessed she was angry.

He wasn’t living where the anime showed, you guessed he still wasn’t a Hashira, he was around sixteen or seventeen.

“I will leave you alone,” the man said getting up bowing as he headed out the shoji doors, “take your time.”

You were engaged to the literal copy of Kyojuro. He was rather cute.

“Ruka-San?” he asked with a smile leaning on the table, “come sit?” he gestured to the place where her father formerly sat at.

You got up slowly and slowly walked to the table and sat down on the place there your legs under your body with my hands on your lap elegantly.

“you don’t have to be so stiff around me, Ruka-San.”

Your blushed again, “sorry Rengoku-Sama,” you bowed your head, how the heck did you know how the feudal Era worked.

You only knew the Taisho Era that they were more calm and less still, plus the main characters were more comfortable than in the Edo Era.

Well you were a nerd in history class and you read a lot of book related to it. You knew how they worked, so you tried to be as polite and calm possible even if you were a crack head. You normally were someone who would be hype and very jolly the polar opposite from Ruka.

He waved his hand in dismiss, “don’t worry bout it!” his voice boomed with understanding and was firm like his first born. Unlike Senjuro who was shy and insecure. His grin was wide and full of confidence.

I hummed as I gave a ghost of a smile. As we chatted over different things, he didn’t officially ask me for the engagement even if we already were I wanted him to actually ask me to marry him. But for me we have just met, but looks like we did for a while.

After that very awkward and weird meeting you were sent to your room without even being spared a glance by the man that would be titled as ‘father’, but you rather never saw him like that. Who knew what had happened.

You changed from the kimono to a sleeping yukata that was a light red colour that could be pink and headed to bed. You sat down beside the futon and sighed for again for the millionth time that day. It was only day one and you felt like you were losing it.

“I just wanna go home and see the next episode of My Hero Academia.” You whined finally revealing yourself to the walls you were in. You lose the braid you had and used you hand to ruffle the mane letting the aching pain of a headache off and let your shoulders fall.

You cracked your neck and then plopped on the futon that was warm and comfortable even if it was on the floor. You folded your arms behind your head exhaling letting you relax fully.

You then slowly feel into a deep slumber like nothing ever happened.

Back home you were a high school student in Junior year close to turning seventeen to finally drive a car. You were an anonymous manga artist that now finally your anime came out.  You lived with your father and annoying witch of a step-mother your brother was kicked out of home after turning eighteen and lived with your half-brother.

You suffered a lot, and you hoped that maybe here could be better even if the parents of Ruka were very distant and rude to her.

You remembered that Ruka passed away from the deadly disease after giving birth to Senjuro who suffered most in the hands of Shinjuro so you had to find a way to change that after getting married off. Maybe even turn into a Demon Slayer too.

Who knew if you could, maybe.

After all it would take around two years to fully master a breathing technique, you had the time, but maybe Shinjuro wouldn’t be happy for that. But at least for now you could try and figure out what you had and what you could go with your sorry ass.

Maybe you could find way to pervert death or even lengthen your life span for around ten to twenty years to also avoid the death of Kyojuro that maybe Shinjuro would help train his eldest son better. Maybe even get Senjuro a better life as a kid.

After all he was just a toddler when Ruka passed away, you had a chance to change the terrible fate of the current generation of the Rengoku family.

Suddenly you remembered how reserved Ruka was, you tried to reason with yourself to maybe be a little more open with you future husband that wasn’t as he first was revealed in the anime as a drunkard and an abuser
Maybe you could help him to stay a Hashira for a bit more before retiring.

And also you thought, ‘Why did the man remind you of Tanjuro?’

(Tanjiro’s father.)

Why did she also remind you of female Muzan? Her eyes were red as his’ and raven hair colour.  Maybe Ruka had something to do with Muzan in some way, maybe it had to do with her eyes and how much she resembled the Kamado family.

The Kamado family and clan was very big who knew, they only focused on the siblings and their relationship with their deceased family, but who knew if Kei and Tanjuro had siblings and such.

Now you were very much thinking that there could be a whole Clan judging by the whole fiasco there was over a clan and how much their eyes reminded you of Tanjiro.

What was happening?
