Chapter 27: Sanemi

The wind swayed as the air grew tense the only things you could hear were the sound of Kuina speaking with a calm and controlled voice and the sound of breathing.

Your eyes glanced to Sanemi who looked like choking you, he always looked like committing murder, after all that was all that he could think and the only thing that driven him to keep going.

Giyuu that bowed far from everyone his eyes flickered to you and back down. You did not pay any mind as you just continued to hear what Urokudaki decided to write down for him, Tanjiro and Giyuu.

“Master, I object!” was what Uzui spoke up when was asked for opinions.

Kyojuro spoke with a smile and a very loud voice, “forgive me Master, but I cannot accept this! My job is to slay demons! Not to help them!”

You sighed realizing that he did not remember what you taught him when he was younger, or maybe he just did not believe the words of Sakonji. After all there was no (registered) case of demons that were not eating humans.

“I do not care,” Muichiro spoke up his head in the clouds. He really wanted to go see his youngest sibling.

Mitsuri had a blush on her cheeks, “I agree to any of your orders, Master!”

Like that objections and agreements were thrown on the air for master to know, “Shinjuro-San, do you have anything to say?”

Your husband looked baffled, “eh? But Oyakata-Sama, I am a retired Pillar, how come should I give my opinion?”

Kagaya smiled, “you have experience as a Pillar for more than twenty years, so why not hear an opinion from another point of view.”

“well,” Shinjuro thought, “we do not know a lot of the demons, so I would have chosen to do a blood trial.”

A blood trail? Have you ever heard of it? You never wrote it in the manga so you were more intrigued to know as you stood at the side as Sanemi jerked the box under the shade of the engawa.

“well a blood trial you want, that is what you will get, Former.” He stabbed Nezuko once to rile her up before using the tip of his sword to open the door.

Like that my niece came out, she looked much younger than what I thought I made her look, blood dripped from the wound on her waist and shoulder. The haori and kimono were ripped from the accident with Rui.

Blood was on her skin and face from the night before, but they were dried out mixed with dirt and grime. It made me worried as Sanemi used the sharp side of his blade to cut his arm right under his elbow.

“Time for an early breakfast, demon!” he smirked taunting her.

“Nezu—Arg!”

I turned my head to see Iguro elbowing Tanjiro’s back with force blocking him of using any breaths. I wished I could do something so I jumped off the engawa to the sun.

“Iguro,” I spoke to him trying to coax him to stop.

He looked up his two colored eyes widened as he spoke back with surprise, “mother, you shouldn’t be here.”

After the trial you headed home with a rush tugging Shinjuro wishing to see your youngest child that would be at home playing with Senjuro.

You ran inside after passing the gate and heard giggling in the halls of the manor.

Then the two year old child was seen, her big flame colored eyes meeting yours before she cooed, “mama!”

You kneeled down before her and hugged her, your cheek brushing against hers as her small hands touching your cheeks holding you close.

You kissed Senjuro’s cheek that was playing with her, “I’m home, and we have visit tomorrow,”

Senjuro looked very happy, they rarely had any visit in the rather big house. Their family grew big and deep down he knew there would be a chance that they could get more siblings. Who knew if it would happen.

You held little [Y/N], she clearly took your name, the name you had when you were in the real world. She took all the feature of Shinjuro that you weren’t surprised. Her hair was straighter like yours rather than the messy curly locks your older children had.

She laughed and clapped her small hands the toddler headed to look over your shoulder, “Chichi!” she smiled, “I missed you!” she spoke after blowing a raspberry with joy.

“I did too, little [Y/N],” he smiled and kissed her chubby red cheeks and smirked at you as usually, “she clearly has my genes.”

He says that all the time to annoy you. You loved the toddler within your hands, she was so adorable, you missed the childish laughter of a young child.

Yuichiro walked in with a calm expression and greeted Muichiro that pulled him an embrace that made the older twin blush before starting to push the younger away. “Muichiro!” but the said boy just held him tighter in his embrace making me smile.

“The case of that demon is very impressive,” Kyojuro beamed with a smile, “I have never encountered a demon like that!”

“None of us did, Kyojuro.” Iguro said with a calm tone, “What made me surprised was that it held against a marechi.”

It made you glad that the rest of the trial went normal no changed in that part what so ever.

It made you relieved that it didn’t change at all.

What you were now planning to change was your older son’s death, maybe it too could change from you adopted kids.

Now that you realized you were a mother for about five pillars. Man you never planned to adopt so many kids, but Shinjuro looked happy. He looked happier than originally he would be.
