Chapter 6 - Letters' Exchange

After finishing his dinner, Aryan was back in his room with his first love, his guitar. He was trying to compose a song for his friend's band. He thought of a tune and made the necessary notes in his notation book.

The wind blew and a box fell down. He looked at the box and realised it was his PF box.

What should I reply to this girl? What if she thinks I am interested in her? She was the one who sent the letter, so she can't blame me. Many such thoughts popped in Aryan's mind.

Finally after an hour, he decided to write a reply. He scribbled many times and tore innumerable pages of his notepad, before finalising his letter.

Hi Arya.

Yes, it was a surprise for me to receive your letter. Who in this age writes letters to each other? However, I liked your pen friend approach and I am totally fine with it.

I have never had a pen friend before and thought it would be interesting to have one.

Actually, I don't have many friends with whom I can discuss music and especially BTS. I am so glad to have found someone who shares this interest.

I believe their music is like a therapy. I always listen to their songs before going to bed as it helps me to rejuvenate myself.

I was attracted to their songs because of my elder sister who is a BTS Army too. It's so good to have an Army friend.

Music is my passion and even though I am studying business administration, I love to explore different genres of music. Apart from music, I love photography, travelling and drawing.

Let me know about your hobbies and interests in your reply. I think I have answered your questions.

Aryan decided to send this reply to Arya the next day itself. He took the letter along with him and before going to his department, went to the Arts department.

He saw Arya's post box and quickly put the letter inside the box while looking around.

Oh great! There is no body nearby. Aryan thought to himself and went for his lecture after putting the letter in the box.

The day passed and Arya was about to leave the department's building.

"Kavya, should I check the post box?"

"You think, he must have replied?"

"It's just my sixth sense, which keeps on telling me that he must have."

"You and your stupid sixth sense. Let's go. We have to finish this assignment by tonight."

"You go ahead and wait near the cafeteria. I will join you in a while."

Arya was curious to know if Aryan had replied but she knew that Kavya wouldn't allow her to go and check her post box.

"Arya, are you seriously going to check the post box?"

"No dear. I am going to the washroom. I will be back in sometime. You go ahead. Order a cheese sandwich for me."

Arya literally pushed Kavya and before Kavya could say anything, she ran towards the post box.
