A week had passed but yet there was no reply from Mr. Malhotra. Arya was eager to meet Aryan, but he had told her not to do so until her dad gave permission. He, too, was dying to meet his lady love but was controlling himself.

Their best friends Kavya and Sid were always there to help our lovebirds. They acted as messengers in those three years. As promised, Aryan and Arya didn't contact each other directly, but used to know about each other's wellbeing from their besties.

While Aryan was busy setting up his business, Arya completed her Masters in Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art. Now, after completing her masters of two years and internship of one year she was back in India.

Aryan's parents were extremely nervous, but, his all-time bestie, his daadi, was very proud of her grandson. She was the morale booster of the Mehtas, who would give them immense confidence. If Aryan felt low, he would go to his daadi and she would refresh his mood.

It was an ordinary day and Aryan was at his office working on his laptop. Suddenly, there was a knock on his table and he looked above. He was surprised to see Mr. Malhotra in his office.

He stood up from his chair and welcomed Mr. Malhotra.

"I won't take much of your time, Mr. Mehta. I understand time is money for a small-time entrepreneur like you." The sarcastic laugh of Mr. Malhotra angered Aryan but he preferred to remain silent.

"Isn't it quite unique that a millionaire like you is at the doorstep of a small time entrepreneur like me? I am sure there must be some special reason behind your visit." Aryan spoke with utter confidence.

"I was quite impressed with the email you sent me last week about your business expansion plan. I studied it carefully and I would like to invest in the same."

"Thank you very much Sir, but I am not sure if I can talk to you in detail about the plan unless I know your answer about your daughter's future with me."

"Let us first discuss this investment and then we shall discuss our personal matters later on at home. I don't like to talk about personal stuff in a professional setting."

"Sorry Sir. In these years, I too, have learnt a bit about the professional world. Its always give and take, right?"

Mr. Malhotra understood that Aryan was not going to fall into his trap. On one side, he was impressed with Aryan's professional attitude, but on the other side, he could see that he was about to lose.

Aryan had interpreted this kind of move from Mr. Malhotra and was prepared for the same. He then took out a file which had a list of investors who had shown interest in his business expansion plan. It was clear to Mr. Malhotra that money wasn't something with which he could buy Aryan.

"I am sure you remember, I had promised you that I would be a better person professionally and personally without your favour. I am on that path and would always like to be on it." Aryan spoke confidently.

"I had, I have and I will always have a personal interest in your daughter and not in your money. If I have her love and support, I will earn enough money for us. Even if I don't become a millionaire like you, I will never make her regret choosing me as her life partner."

Mr. Malhotra sighed after hearing this and looked at Aryan with a happy smirk. It was something a father was looking forward to hearing from his daughter's lover. Confidence in his words, professionalism in his attitude, but more than that, unconditional love for his daughter.

Mr. Malhotra got up from the chair and went near Aryan. The look in his eyes made Aryan confused. He, too, got up from his chair and before he could say anything, Mr. Malhotra hugged him.

"Take care of my daughter. Thank you Aryan for not giving up and proving me wrong. Give her all that love, care, respect and everything she deserves, which I couldn't give her." Saying so, Mr. Malhotra left the office.

Thanks to Aryan, we got to see the loving father in Mr. Malhotra. Don't you think the majority of fathers are like him? Obviously, I am not talking about Mr. Arrogant Malhotra who gave a tough time to our lovebirds.

We feel like they are rude and heartless, but for them, their kids are the most precious treasures. Glad to see that Mr. Malhotra, too, was able to unleash the father in him for the goodwill of his beloved daughter.

The next chapter is going to be the last chapter of this novel. As you must have guessed, I wanted it to be a happy ending for our love birds. They have suffered a lot and deserve the best. So, let's gear up for the same and witness their happily ever after moments in the next and final chapter.
