Arya reached home and saw her father sitting in the living room.

"Welcome home, Miss Social Worker. Where are you coming from after wasting my hard-earned money?"

"You think saving a life is a waste of money?"

"Correction, Miss Arya. Saving a life with my money and without my permission is not justified. Who the hell gave you the authority to waste my money without asking me?"

"I didn't waste it on parties or drugs or drinks. I helped the ones who were in need of it."

"Majority of people live below the poverty line. So, are you like your mother going to be so kind-hearted that you spend your fortune on these poor undeserving people?"

"I am so happy and proud that I am like my mother who was kind-hearted. Thank God, I am not heartless and money-minded like you. You were not even there during your wife's difficult times when she was fighting for her life."

Arya was trying her level best to control her tears as she remembered how her mother struggled and finally died in front of her eyes.

"YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO SPEAK LIKE THIS WITH YOUR FATHER." Mr. Malhotra was furious to the core after hearing what his daughter said.

He raised his voice and was about to slap his daughter when somebody held his hand firmly. He was shocked to see who the person was.

Aryan held Mr. Malhotra's hand firmly and looked at him so as to show that he was not going to accept this behaviour.

"This is not your employee but your daughter's lover trying to stop you from hurting his beloved girl." Aryan's firmness in speech and action shocked Mr. Malhotra who was trying his level best to take out his hand from Aryan's firm grip.

When he looked at Aryan in an attempt to tell him to leave his hand, Aryan didn't loosen his grip.

"I will not tolerate any form of mistreatment towards my loved ones." Aryan then loosened his grip and let go of Mr. Malhotra's hand.

He then went and stood beside Arya, who was looking at him being awestruck.

"Sir, today, I am standing in front of you as your future son-in-law. I love your daughter to that extent that I will never be able to imagine my life without her. I didn't want to say it like this, but today, when she saved my daadi, I realised what a gem she is and I cannot afford to lose her ever." Aryan was confessing his immense love for Arya, which made her fall for him again.

"You might feel like I am saying so because she gave me a huge amount of money which I was not able to arrange in a short span of time like her. Actually, she could have easily run away from this situation, but she chose to stand with me in my difficult times.
I am sure she knew you would be angry and also knew how you would react. But still, she went ahead and helped us without considering the repercussions. The way she accepted my family as her own and did everything made me realise that I can never find a girl like your daughter, who is a perfect combination of love, respect, kindness and beauty."

Aryan didn't know from where he got this courage to speak in front of Mr. Malhotra, but he didn't regret saying a single word.

"Oh is it? So, do you both 'LOVE' each other so much that you can't live without each other? Oh My God! What a love story?" Arya's father talked mockingly while looking at both of them.

"You expect me to say this? These filmy lines are suitable for those melodramatic idiots who think love is the only thing they need to survive. All you need is money and nothing else. People value those who have money and power."

"And, what the hell did you say about being my future son-in-law? I am the one who hired you as an intern and offered you a full-time job now. You have the daring to disrespect me like this, you scumbag? I can make or mar your entire career."

Mr. Malhotra was extremely angry and Arya knew what could happen to Aryan if he continued to stay there.

Arya held his hand and pleaded with him to leave the house as she didn't want to see her love getting hurt because of her.

Aryan was not concerned about him getting hurt, but was definitely worried about Arya. He, too, didn't want to see her being hurt.

Mr. Malhotra was looking at this so-called melodrama and thought about handling this in a diplomatic way rather than being angry. He didn't want to lose his only daughter to this middle-class boy.

He could see how they were emotionally attached to each other and thought that it would be best to take one step behind in order to leap ahead.

"Okay, Aryan, I understand that you love my daughter and want to marry her in the future. I can see that you have great potential and are really determined to prove yourself as a successful businessman." Mr. Malhotra sat comfortably and started talking just how a professional would talk. He definitely didn't want to lose this deal.

"Why don't you prove yourself in a span of three years? Right now, you are both 21 years old, right? So, take your sweet time till you both turn 24. Let me see how you are implementing your plans into action. I promise you that if you are successful, I myself will allow you to marry my daughter."

Mr. Malhotra had put the bait and was waiting for Aryan to take up the same. He knew it was next to impossible for a middle-class boy like Aryan to achieve success in just 3 years.

"Papa. This is not fair. How can he do it in just three years?" Somehow Arya knew what her dad was planning.

"Why can't he? If you can both be filmy, then I can also be a filmy villain, right? Prove me wrong if you are so confident about each other." Mr. Malhotra smirked as he knew he had won the game.

"Alright Sir, I accept your challenge. I will try my level best to be a successful man who can fulfill each and every wish of his beloved lover." Aryan took the bait, according to Mr. Malhotra's plan.

"Okay, great then. Let us meet after three years now and evaluate your progress report. Till then you will not be in touch with my daughter. Let me see how much you LOVE each other in real life." Mr. Malhotra deliberately smirked and emphasized the word love.

"That's not fair, Papa. I know you are deliberately doing this, so that you can separate us." Arya spoke harshly to her dad and before she could say something more, Aryan held her hand and silenced her.

He then said, "Okay Sir. I accept this challenge too. I will not be in contact with your daughter in these years and this will begin from tomorrow. But, I too want something from you. If you agree to that, then I, too, can keep my promise."

Ohk! So, I don't think you predicted Aryan being a stubborn ass like this in front of Arya's dad. But, he is a whipped lover boy who can go to any extent for his loved ones.

Arya is his first, true and forever love, so, don't you think he will do anything for her? Let us see what his proposal for Mr. Malhotra is.
