Archer's POV
"Dad, chill!" I roared at him.
"You can't be late on your first day at your new school. Get your ass out the door and go to school." Dad shouted from downstairs.
I groaned, grabbed my backpack and stood up. The door to my room slamed again behind me as I rushed down the stairs. My dad walked up to me as I put my shoes on. I looked him straight in the eyes and growled.
"Don't flash your eyes at me!" He said lowdly and flashed me with his red eyes.
"Then stop treating me like a puppy!" I said as I rushed out the door and started walking towards school, my new school. It's so unfair, just because some dudes from my pack teased me at my old school, I have to change schools? Just because I almost lost it? Because my dad is the alpha and follows our tribes rules to the very last second of his life? My life already sucked and now I have to change schools? Yeah, that sounds very fair.
I arrive at school the second the bell rings. The note with the name of my teacher and classroom scrape against my leg, inside of my pocket. I pick it up and find my way to my classroom. When I enter the classroom I see a empty seat in the back. I make my way to the seat and sit down. The room fills up quickly and everyones smells enter my nose. It's a disgusting blend of perfume and sweat. Sometimes I wish that I could just turn my nose of like a light switch.
A tall, older man enters the room and shuts the door behind him. He places a computer and some papers on the master's desk before writing a name on the board behind it.
"Hi everybody, I'm Mr. Qwebeck and I'm your english teacher." He said and walked back over to the master's desk. He started calling out everyone's names to check if they were there.
"Archer Ravenwood?" Mr. Qwebeck said.
"Yes." I said in a tired voice as I lifted my gaze to look at him.
When the lesson was over I stood up quickly and grabbed my bag. I was more than tired of school already and I needed to get out of here. I pulled my fingers through my hair as I walked out the door and towards the exit.
"Fuck this shit." I said and looked down at my feet. I was just about to pick up my phone when I walked straight into a random boy. He bumped his head into my shoulder and dropped his textbook.
"Omg, I'm sorry." I said as I quickly picked up the boy's textbook and handed it to him.
"No, it's fine. Thanks." He said, took the textbook and smiled. The boy got dimples when he smiled and his light brown eyes tindered.
"I'm Dean, are you also a junior?" He asked and looked me in the eyes.
"No, I'm a senior." I answered and sniffed lightly. There was something about his scent that invited me in. But he wasn't a werewolf, so what was it about him?
"Ooh, okay, well I guess I'll see you around." He said and smiled. I nodded before heading towards the exit again.
"Wait, hey! What's your name?" Dean called behind me. I turned around and pulled my fingers through my hair again.
"Archer." I answered. Dean smiled and made a thumbs up towards me. I turned back and walked out the door. When I was outside the school area I started running towards the forest. I hung my bag on a tree before running towards the river. All the anger from school and my father being a asshole started rising inside of me. I really needed to get my mind of things.
I threw myself into the air and landed on four paws. All the smells of the forest filled my nose and all the noises filled my ears. These moments were the only ones that made me feel alive. When I become alpha, I ain't gonna get alot of these moments.
The damp ground flowed under my paws as I ran deeper and deeper into the forest. Soon I could see the river and it didn't take long until I was next to it. I stopped and leaned forward to take a zip of the water. I took another zip before heading back home.
Later that day...
I was sitting at our dinner table eating a sandwich with beef when my phone pinged. The sound echoed in my ears and I wondered who it could possibly be. I reached out and grabbed my phone. It was a message from someone who's number I don't have. I opened the message and saw that it was from Dean.
5.49 PM: Hi, um. It's Dean. Someone at school has a party at their house on friday. You wanna go?
5.51 PM: Yeah, why not.
5.52 PM: Cool, I'll send you the address later. See ya friday then.
I added his number to my phonelist and named him "Dean" before putting away my phone and finishing the rest of my sandwich.
