Archer's POV
The next day...
"Archer! Listen to me!" My dad screamed at my face.
"What, your mad at me because I don't want to go to our stupid pack meeting? Fuck that!" I yelled as I started walking out of the kitchen.
"Yes! You are gonna become alpha one day and because of that I need you on the meetings." He said as he tried to grab my arm. I pulled my arm away and stopped.
"I'm aware of that, dad! But I'm tired of our pack's bullshit. I'm not coming to the meeting today and there is nothing you can do to stop me." I growled in his face before picking up my phone and shoes and rushing out the door. I put on my shoes and started walking away from our house. I dont know why but something inside my brain made me call Dean.
"Archer?" He answered.
"Yeah, hi. Uhm, is it okay if I come over? I just had a fight with my dad and... Well... I'm on my way over to your house right now." I asked.
"Yeah, sure." He said and somehow those words comforted me.
"Thank you, Dean." I said before ending the call.
A few minutes later I arrived at Dean's house. I walked up to the door and knocked. Inside the house I heard Dean standing up and rushing over to the door. The door opened and there stood Dean.
"Hi." He smiled and held the door opened for me.
"Hi." I said as I walked inside. I took my shoes of and turned towards him. "I'm sorry for just coming over like this."
"No, it's fine. My mom is away with some friends over the day anyways, so I was kind of bored. Do you wanna play some videogames or watch a movie or something?" He asked and pointed towards something that looked like a living room.
"Yeah, that sounds like fun." I said and Dean walked into the room he pointed at. I followed and just like I thought, it was a living room. We walked over to the sofa and I sat down. Dean put on the tv and started a video game. He handed me some kind of consol before sitting down a few inches away from me.
"Do you know how to play?" He asked.
"Not really." I admitted and smiled.
"You'll learn quickly." He said and looked at me. His eyes tindered as he smiled. And there they were again. His dimples. I kind of love his dimples, they suit him.
"I like you dimples, they suit you." I said and smiled.
"You do?" He said with happiness in his voice. I nodded. "Wow, no one has really ever noticed them before."
"So, you gonna teach me how to play or not?" I said and looked towards the tv. Dean started the game and we played. It was some kind of fighting game and it was actually pretty fun. I guess I kind of got some of my anger out while playing.
"You wanna eat something?" Dean asked after some time. "I'm starting to get hungry."
"Yeah, me too." I answered and we stood up. We walked into the kitchen and Dean opened the fridge.
"We have pizza?" He said and took out a pizzabox.
"I love pizza." I said and walked up to him.
Dean heated the pizza and we sat down to eat. The pizza was really good actually and the ham that was on it was delicious.
"So this thing with your dad, did you guys just have a fight or was it something else?" He asked and took another bite of his pizzaslice.
"Well, we did have a fight but we kind of fight all the time. Since my mom died, the realtionship between me and my dad has not been the best." I told him.
"Your mom is dead?! Omg, I'm so sorry." Dean said sadly.
"Yes, she died a few years ago. But yeah, my dad is just simply an asshole with all of his stupid rules that I apparently have to follow or it will end badly. But you know what, I don't feel like giving a rat's ass about his rules anymore." I said angrily and took a bite of my pizzaslice.
"Then don't." Dean said and placed his hand on my arm. "If he is an asshole, then be the bigger asshole and let him taste his own medicin."
"You are so smart, do you know that?" I said and stood up. Dean stood up to and we put our plates into the dishwasher.
"Should we watch a movie or do you wanna play more?" Dean asked on our way back to the sofa.
"We can watch a movie if you wan't. You choose." I said and sat down. Dean nodded and picked some movie I didn't reconize.
When we were a bit into the movie, Dean suddenly paused and turned towards me. He took a deep breath and then he looked me in the eyes.
"Archer, there is something I need to ask you..." He started and I could hear his heartbeat speed up.
"Yeah sure, what is it?" I said.
"Uhm, well, yesterday after we split up... I saw that you headed towards the woods and I kind of got worried. And I know that it was wrong but I kind of followed you. And then I saw you sitting next to that river. Then that big branch broke and... Uhm... Well I kind of saw your eyes glow in an yellow - orange color. What the hell is that about?" He said and I felt his nervosity rise.
Woah. I have never felt this vulnerable in my life. This was not supposed to happen. My dad is going to kill me if he finds out that Dean knows. Shit. But as Dean said, I shouldn't care about my dad's rules. So thats exactly what I'm gonna do.
"As you may understand I have never felt this vulnerable in my life. But since we are friends, and you told me to not care about my dad's rules, I'm gonna tell you. But you have to promise me to not tell anyone." I said and Dean nodded, his curiosity filling the room. "I am a werewolf and I come from a very powerful tribe, who as you may know, valuables rules very high. Also, I'm soon to be alpha and that's why my eyes are yellow - orange and not yellow."
"I knew it!" Dean said and pointed a finger towards my face.
"What?" I said and laughed.
Dean leaned forward and took his head in his hands. He laughed and when he sat up again his smile was bigger than I've ever seen it.
"Thanks for telling me. Should we continue the movie?" Dean asked. I nodded and he put the movie back on.
After a while the movie ended and I decided it was time to go back home, even though I didn't want to. I stood up and walked into the hallway. Dean followed me into the hallway and leaned against the wall. I put on my shoes and turned towards him. He smiled and something inside me clicked. I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around him.
"Thank you for being my friend." I said as he wrapped his arms around me. "I had forgotten what it was like to have a friend."
I let go of him and just when I was about to open the door I felt Dean's arm on my shoulder.
"Wait! I know that you had a fight with your dad and that you don't really wanna go home. You can crash here tonight if you want." He said and looked me in the eyes. He smiled and I saw something in his eyes I haven't known for a very long time, hope.
"Yeah, sure." I said and let go of the doorknob. Dean smiled even brighter and took his hand of my shoulder. I couldn't help but notice how he let his fingertip grace the length of my arm before he turned around and walked back into the livingroom. I stood still, breathtaken in the hallway for a few seconds before taking my shoes of and walking back into the livingroom. What just happened?
