Sorry for the troll last time! This is the real version of the Simeon oneshot. Enjoy!

"Y/N..." Simeon parts his lips from yours and gives you a bright smile. "Shall we go and prepare dinner?" he helps you up from his bed as you both leave his room and approach the dining room.

Recently, you have been staying at the Purgatory Hall due to a certain poisonous infestation released in the House of Lamentation. Since the demon brothers were not affected by the poison, they were left cleaning the mess and asking Simeon, your current lover, to help you stay in the Purgatory Hall for at least a week. With more time to spend with Simeon, you have been trying to get closer to him, kissing him almost every day in his room. Yet every time the mood was right, he always changes the subject or avoids going any further. "Can you help me set up the table, Y/N?"

"Sure." You set down the plates and utensils on the table, glancing at Simeon who was happily humming as he seared and boiled different ingredients you barely even recognize. "Good evening! I'm back~" Solomon who was gone for the whole day eagerly came inside the kitchen, peeking at what Simeon was cooking. "That seems like a lot of dishes. Do you need any help? My hands are free."

"Ah, I can handle it! Can you help me call Luke instead? I think he's still in his room."

"Okay. Call me if you need any help!" Solomon leaves and you let out a sudden chuckle. "What?" he looks at you with a hint of panic still on his face. "I always noticed this but, is his cooking really THAT bad?" you ask as you thought Solomon might feel left out being denied from cooking anything most of the time. "Hm...I don't really think it's that bad. His tastes are just very unique and hard to swallow? Me and Luke still appreciate him cooking for us though." He gives you a smile as you are surprised by his careful choice of words. "You really are too nice, Simeon."

"Hehe. I appreciate the compliment." He chuckles to himself, closing the lid of the boiling pot as he turns to face you. "By the way, there's something I've been meaning to talk to you about."

"What is it?" He looks down nervously for a minute, fidgeting with his fingers quietly as he lets out a heavy exhale. He lifts his head and moves towards you; his eyes look straight onto yours as he gives off a serious expression. "Simeon? Did something happen?" Solomon who brought Luke with him entered the room, interrupting Simeon as he was about to say something that sounded important. "It's nothing. I was just about to serve the food. Can you help me for a bit, Luke?"

"Okay! Where are the bowls?"

"They're over that counter."

Luke rushed over to Simeon, helping him serve the dishes as Solomon sits next to you with a concerned look on his face. "Sorry about earlier. Did we interrupt something important?" He looked at you with an apologetic face and you brush it off with an awkward laugh. "Oh, no! Simeon was just talking about how he appreciated you cooking for him and Luke."

"Hm? If that's the case, maybe I should adjust our cooking routine and help in the kitchen more often." His eyes resembled a child's joy as he stood up and excitedly walked over to the others. "Oh, I don't think that's necessary! We wouldn't want to burden you." You stop him midway, and he follows, but his joy was still at its peak as he smiles at you widely. "I don't mind. Maybe tomorrow I'll let you try my specialty." You nervously laugh and thank him as Luke and Simeon place the dishes down on the table and sat across both of you. "I prepared some human dishes for you and Solomon. "

"That stew looks familiar. I remember Barbatos cooking something like it." Solomon takes the bowl of stew and navigates through its contents with a spoon. "He taught me some recipes, so I made sure to learn how to make them. It's a savory stew with meat, vegetables, and tamarind and it's easy to make..." Simeon trails off as you all enjoy a hearty meal with a pleasingly long conversation. "What was he about to tell me?" You thought to yourself as you stare off and remember his serious face closing in on yours, feeling a bit flustered yet confused at what he was about to say.
