"We're on a trip with homework... for why?" She hears Harry complain as he sat on the grass by the front courtyard of the Beauxbatons castle. It was more spacious than Hogwarts' courtyard due to it being on a more grassy flat plain overlooking a lake, scenes like these were hard to come by in France. A moment of peaceful studying with a lovely view was never really the goal for the teens on the lawn, from afar there were students from different schools playing catch with a quaffle that a Hogwarts student brought for amusement. Harry and Ron wanted to play as well but were dragged by the girls to study for the NEWTs knowing how their potions were dreadful as hell.

"We have NEWTs, and unlike your dreadful performance in Potions, I'm convinced that you slept through Slughorn's lessons again," Finley tells him before tossing him a journal-like book, "if you even dare to rip a page, I will rip your balls off."

"Finley!" Hermione gasped.

"No need to be that violent," Harry winced as he carefully took the journal from his sister's hand. "The fact that you have simplified potions that aren't in our syllabus is frightening," Harry mumbled under his breath, flipping the pages on the journal Finley had lent him. "Some of these potions aren't even in the standard potion books!"

"Why do you have an amplified recipe for the dreamless sleep potion?" Hermione asked leaning over Harry's shoulder and pointing at a page in the journal.

"You even have a tranquilizing potion for dragons in here," Ron gasped, mouth left a gape with the hint of fear in his voice. "What do you plan on doing with these potions?"

Finley merely shrugs, "why? Is it bad to revise potion recipes as a hobby?"

"To this extent, it seems like you're plotting a murder," Harry tells her before closing the journal, no longer in need of reading the bizarre potions in it, or else he'd feel like an accomplice to a crime.

"Suit yourself," she says before taking back the journal, stuffing it in her bag before standing up. Stretching her arms up high to get the numbness out of her back, lucky for her she wasn't wearing a uniform today, it was a free clothing day for everyone so they all decided to dress casually. It was a lovely day to be outside, it wasn't too warm it wasn't that cold either. She was smart too as she just brought in a cardigan instead of a jumper similar to what her brother and their friends were wearing. They were already sweating from the gentle heat.

"Speaking of suit, you look nice to be studying on the lawn," Ron points out. Instead of wearing pants like the three of them were, Finley was wearing a dress and a  cardigan, with a small purse on the side that had an undetectable extension charm no doubt.

"Going on a date?"

"No," she raised her brow at them, "is it a crime to dress nicely?" She says, spinning around to show her soft pink dress that she was so proud of herself for buying.

"No, but if you are going on a date, and I cross my fingers that it isn't Zabini," Harry huffed.

"And if I am going on a date with him, why would it be a problem?" She raised her brow at him, tucking her journal in her bag.

"Maybe because he's a slimy snake?" Ron points out with a whole scowl on his face, his page-flipping going a bit too aggressive for anyone's liking.

"Is this still a house rivalry thing or a personal thing? I can never tell with you," Finley retorts at the ginger before turning to her brother who was staring up at her as if she had just stepped on his prized firebolt. "And to be clear with you so you don't get your knickers in a twist," she sighed, "I'm going down the town library."

"Doesn't the Beauxbatons castle have a library?"

"The library's books are more on French, and Spanish," Blaise's voice spoke from behind Finley, dressed as casually and as nice as she was. "Are you ready to go?"
